It was the anniversary of the day he made his eternal love promise to Nora, and he couldn't help but feel the pull of their shared history. Ned slowly opens his eyes as he hears his name being called. He turns to face his grandma and sees the pain etched on her face. He quickly sits up and leans towards her. "What is it, Grandma? Are you okay?" he asks with concern. His grandma takes a deep breath before speaking. "I'm in pain, Ned. I can't sit up properly," she says, wincing. Ned reaches for the button to call the nurse. "I'll call the nurse right away, Grandma. Don't worry, they'll give you something for the pain," he assures her. Just then, the nurse walks in and checks on his grandma. She administers some pain medication and asks Ned to help her sit up so she can eat her breakfast. She decides to reach out to Ned by calling his phone, but it goes straight to voicemail. She tries a few more times with the same result.
