The upside-down Audi smashed against the pavement in front of an oncoming garbage truck. KK turned his head, looking across the passenger seat, in time to see the smoke from the brakes of the truck as it attempted to stop before striking him. Leo ran into the hospital and headed to the emergency room. Teams of doctors and nurses were dashing around. Apparently, KK wasn't the only one having a bad day. Leo darted around, searching for the bed Kaden was in. He began to panic when he couldn't find him. He ran up two flights of stairs to the inpatient floor and spotted Flynn and Carter sitting together on a bench near the operating arena. He began talking but KK wasn't awake to hear him. "Kaden, why did you leave the house? You were safe there. I'm sorry you had to hear all the things I said to Mage. I didn't mean a word of it..."
