Chapter 16

As I walked to the house with Hera everyone picked up their heads and looked in our direction. "They all staring at me," I whispered to Hera and she chuckled.

"Word to the wise El. Whispering around wolves is as subtle as screaming in a person's face." I looked at all of them who stopped what they were doing to look at me. "Goodness you guys are creeping her out," Hera told them and they looked away immediately and continued with what they were initially doing. 

"Sorry, they just probably curious on why you here so soon." 

She walked onto the porch of the tall brick-colored house and pulled open the door. "It's your home now," she said extending her arm for me to walk in first. I stepped into the house and my eyes roamed the room.

Natural light flooded the house as various leafy plants decorated the corners. The walls were painted an eggshell color and the room had a clean theme of whites and browns.
