Avery.

I heard the sound of water running, my eyes opened partly, and I squinted at the light in the room. The light wasn’t on last night, but it was turned on now.

The water kept running as if it were hitting just the bare floor.

I got up, and strangely I didn’t feel any pain in my shoulders, not even my wrist hurt, the bruises on it were healed, and my knee too.

The pain was gone, and I stood on my feet, the only pain I felt was from my ankle.

There was a full-length mirror close to the bed, I limped down to it, lowered the neck of the shirt, and stared at the shoulder. It was healing, just as he said, but my feet had stepped on something wet.

I stared down and saw traces of blood, it came from the door, down to the bathroom, and the water was still running.

I stood there with my gaze on the blood, and at the door of the bathroom.

Did he get injured last night?

I walked closer to the bathroom door and stopped.

Avery. They froze immediately, I saw the terror flash across their faces as they backed down away from me in a second. “Alpha.” I started to whimper, I couldn’t move my arms or my legs, I lay on the ground, helpless. “How dare you touch her?” “She was…”“We had no idea she was close to you, Alpha, she smelled like an omega, I thought she was one of the servants who was running away, and you kept us in charge of the…” He gagged, his claws had gone over his throat, in a single moment, the wolf who had been on top of me fell, gasping for breath, the others moved backward. “She was in our jurisdiction, Alpha, you kept us in charge here and we were doing our duty.” He quickly went on his knees. “Have mercy, Alpha.” His look had only gotten darker, they tried to run, and he didn’t look like he was going to chase after them. “Get down,” He ordered, and they all went down on their knees and heads on the ground, I couldn’t tell what happened next. I was trying to get up from the gro

Avery. My heart was pounding so loud, I thought he heard, or maybe he didn’t or he pretended not to. The look in those silver eyes was cold, distant as if there were no feelings in them. I tried to get away from him, but his movement was so swift, his arms stretched out and pinned me at the back of my head, dragging me close to him.“He sent those men to hurt you, and I did that to save you from him, I saved you.”“I never asked you to.” I mouthed and held his gaze, he looked stunned at my words. “You had no intention of coming to me, did you?” “You were going to reject me anyway.” “Why would I go through the stress of trying to get you?” “To humiliate me.” “Why?” “You’re Alpha.” His hand left the back of my head, his fingers lifted my chin, and he made me look at him with his back arched down to my height. “Yes, I am Alpha.” “And your role as my mate is to submit to me, not to challenge me.” “I’m not some doll.” His fingers started to graze on my cheek. “I see.” He mumb

Alpha Hector. I made preparations to meet with Gamma, so I can get my mate just as I told him. I wanted to do things right away, I smirked as I stared at the mirror while fixing my tie. “Alpha.” “Do you need me to come with you?” “I’ll handle it alone.” He retracted his steps, and I looked away from the mirror in pure satisfaction with my looks. “Your sister Pen. Refused the invite to accompany you back there, and Lucas has been flustered. He’s thinking you might end up withdrawing your statement as his heir.”“She doesn’t need to be there, and I’m sure they are both aware that the reason why I made him my heir was that I couldn’t find my mate, but I’m not withdrawing my statement soon. There are some things I need to put in order, and then we’ll decide what happens next.” “Yes, Alpha.” After I had seen her, I left her at the house and returned to the pack house, which was where I had spent the night. Now, I was heading over to her house to bring her. I would have to assume

Avery. The second I opened my eyes, I couldn’t see anything despite, it was all dark, and quiet. My body felt weak, I couldn’t feel anything as if it was numb for a moment. My hands were tied to my back, and I could feel the clothes that were around my eyes, I was blindfolded. I tried speaking, but there was no point, I couldn’t move my lip because of the tape that was around it. Where did they take me? What are they going to do to me? I had so many questions but there weren't any answers, I wasn’t getting any, and it felt like I was the only one who was here, though I wasn’t quite sure about it. I tried wrestling but there was no point, I couldn’t break free from this, and my wolf, Tella, had stopped responding. I couldn’t get the rope off my hand, nor the one tied to my legs. “Stop struggling, you are going to keep hurting yourself.” The voice wasn’t the one I recognized, I had no idea who that was, I tried to shrink further but my back was already against the wall. “I ca

Alpha Hector Vald. “We were supposed to get Judy as Lucas' mate, so what was that you pulled out there? Referring to that maid as your mate as if it makes any sense!” Penelope was yelling behind me, we had just gotten back to the house, she had been fuming throughout the ride but she needed to wait till we got back to the Pack house, and about that time before she exploded. “Hector!” “We need an explanation, and you’ve to say something to us.” I spun around and faced her. “Say what?” “What happened earlier, I want to believe that was all a mistake.” I scoffed. “You are the only one that has the right to talk to me in that tone because you’re my sister, the only family I have left, I don’t care if you’re older than me, but there should be some respect in your tone, Pen.” I watched her swallow, and her hand clutched her skirt. “Then I’ve asked you respectfully. What all of that meant, and if it was all an act to ruin…?” “Why would I make it an act?” “You were not being serious
