Alpha Vald Hector.

I was in the woods when my wolf smelled her. I had gone to secure the border after an attempt by my rogues to get into the pack.

Tonight was the mating ceremony ritual which I organized every year, yet I was the mateless one.

Don’t get me wrong, I have been searching for my mate for twelve years.

It was around that time I became Alpha on the pack, and at thirty years old, I haven’t found my mate.

I had given up on ever finding her, and lost hope of ever getting mated to anyone but I had women who were a form of release for me. I have never been with a woman twice, enjoyed their company for an hour, and sent them out of my hotel room.

I never took any of them to my house or fuck them on my bed.

All because of a promise I made, that I wouldn’t be tied down to anyone except my mate.

But years passed, I was eagerly at every mating ritual, but she was never there, never in the Pack, never in the Pack close to us either.

I stopped going for the mating rituals because it was for the youngins around 18-24.

And tonight, my nephew Lucas was going to find his mate, and then he will be fully ready as my heir to become an Alpha. We all agreed to it, since I remained unmarried, and without a mate, the brother’s son could as well be my heir and carry on the family legacy.

But, her scent came.

It stirred up my wolf immediately like a hound dog, we raced into the wood, tracing the scent.

“Alpha!”

It slowed my pace, when I saw her running, tears streaming down her face, sobbing bitterly, and I darted towards another path.

Something fell off her clothes, but she hadn’t noticed, and kept running.

I picked up the work she dropped.

Her scent was intoxicating, even from her journal. It was driving me and my wolf insane, her name was on the bottom of it, and a small introduction.

‘Avery. Williams.’

‘My life sucks at twenty-two.’

I followed the direction she took, she had stripped, and was inside the river. It didn’t seem like she was taking a bath, it was quite obvious she was trying to calm her wolf.

Her cry made my heart wrench.

I leaned over the tree, till she calmed down before I approached her.

Her head came out of the water, her curly hair was wet, her eyes were unique, and it looked just like earth. The moon shone on her, not once, have I thought that I would find her here.

‘Mate’ My wolf growled in my head, his voice was loud, and there’s no way I could ignore it.

‘The scent came from her.’

I took a step closer, and that was when she saw me.

If she were in my pack, how come I never found her?

Where has she been hiding?

And she has no idea who I was, I don’t think she felt the bond either.

That I was her mate.

I wanted to bind her and take her away with me, but on second thought I didn’t want to force her.

After I kissed her tears off, I backed away from her, she didn’t hesitate, she ran.

I watched her running, and smiled, knowing I could get her in seconds.

She didn’t shift, there might be a reason why she didn’t.

I was about to leave when I saw her small journal.

“Alpha.”

“You suddenly ran off.” My Beta came panting.

“We found one of the rogues.”

“Kill him,” I ordered and picked up the journal.

“What’s that, Alpha?”

“Is it from one of the spies?” He inquired, and I shook my head slowly.

“Alpha, you should head back to the pack now and end the mating ceremony, they are all waiting for you, and I heard Lucas has found his mate.”

I tilted my head to the side and stared at the Beta. “Is that so?”

“Yes, Alpha.”

We went back to the Pack hall, and I tucked the journal away in my pocket. I ended the mating ritual with a closing speech. Lucas was grinning over with his mate attached to his arms, her head over his chest.

“…and to everyone who couldn’t find their mate tonight, don’t lose hope yet. Your mate might be somewhere within, waiting…” my voice trailed off.

“The mating ceremony this year has come to an end.”

“Uncle.” Lucas stopped when I was about to leave.

“We’ll talk tomorrow, Lucas. You should take your mate home,”

“I wanted to introduce her to you, Uncle.” He smiled and wrapped his arms around her shoulders.

My eyes went to her, there was nothing to look at in her body, and my gaze didn’t last a second.

“Judy Williams.”

“Williams?” I asked, Why does it sound familiar?

“Yes, Alpha. I’m Gamma Williams' daughter.” She said with so much pride in it.

I nodded and adjusted my wristwatch. “I will see you at home Lucas.”

He smiled. “Yes, Uncle.”

I went out to get a drink.

It was past midnight, but her face, and her scent lingered in my head.

“Alpha, the ladies are waiting for you in your hotel room, you already asked for them earlier, and I made sure to follow your orders. I left them in the room.”

“That was before I left.”

“Yes, Alpha, the order came in the evening.” The bartender lowered his head at me and slowly refilled my glass of whiskey.

I took a gulp, took the bottle, and walked down to the hotel room.

I entered, and two ladies were on the bed with the lingerie on.

“Alpha.”

They came down from the bed, I placed the bottle of whiskey on the bedside table, and chugged down the one in the glass.

They took my black sleeve off my body, and I let them touch me, their hands around my body. But it meant their touch meant nothing to me, I didn't feel anything either when they touched me.

One of the ladies' hands touched my pocket. “Alpha what’s this?” She asked, I hit her hand off, and pulled out the journal from my pocket.

I sat on the bed with the journal, and the ladies behind me.

I wanted to flip the first page, I got up, took out a smoke, and went to the balcony alone.

‘Tim.’ I mind-linked my Beta, and his voice came back in response. ‘Alpha.’

I puffed out the smoke from the pipe and wheezed into the night.

‘You’ve to find someone.’

‘Who, Alpha.’

‘My mate.’

Avery. I watched him shift and it felt like the easiest and sexiest thing he had ever done. We were outside the space, out of the pack house. The moon was up, and beside me was a huge brown wolf, which I hadn't expected. His wolf was so beautiful, with an entirely flawless look. He moved closer to me, and I ran my hand over his furs, he lowered his body, and I was reluctant and he stared at me, with those eyes that looked like blue flames. I got on him and held tight to him. He lifted himself when I was on his back, he started slowly, with a slow walk into the woods. I was anxious even while I was with him, I wanted him to be careful, but he was already careful enough, and I seemed to be the one who wasn’t settled. The moon shone while we passed through the tall trees and grasses, I saw the fireflies as we walked, and I reached out to touch some. He kept walking gently further into the woods, he was taking me to the heart of the pack. He said it was one of the calmest places t

Alpha Hector. I sat next to Avery by the bed at the pack house. I wanted her to open her eyes because she had passed out earlier. I was able to make it out, without the car crashing, and without her getting injured, but the only problem I had was her waking up, but she wasn’t responding quickly to it. “Alpha, you sent for me.” “Find out what happened, why the brake suddenly, and the car’s tire that was damaged.” I said without staring at him. “Someone did it. Someone from the house, take all of them to the prison house, I would have them tortured.” “Yes, alpha.”“What did the doctor say?”“He said there’s nothing wrong with her, she’s not in any sort of danger, and she will be awake soon.” He lowered his head. “I guess it was a past trauma,” I muttered beneath my breath and stared down at her. “What about the meeting with your family?”“When she wakes up. I will call for it.” He nodded and took a step back, he headed towards the door. I sighed with my hands folded, and watch

  • Too Clumsy To Be Luna   Is this all a coincidence?

Avery. Tonight, he was taking me to the pack house. I was waiting for him. He said he was going to come pick me up. I was already dressed in the blue gown, I wore the necklace, and the white heels. I didn’t let my hair down, I had it packed, I wanted the necklace to be a bit more visible. “You’re ready for the Alpha, Miss Avery.” The maid said she was the one who helped me to dress up, she wanted to apply some makeup on my face, but I didn’t want that, I didn’t think I would be going with it. She had my nails neatly polished, and I was satisfied with them. I stared at my face in the mirror. “I don’t need it, do I?” “You are very beautiful without the makeup on, Miss Avery.”I scrolled. “You don’t have to lie to me, we are the only ones here.” “Why would I lie to you?” “I’m just stating a fact.” She shrugged lightly. I stared at her to see if she was saying all of that just to appease me because I was with the Alpha, and didn’t want to say the truth. I turned to the mirror

Avery. He watched me come downstairs in one of the dresses, his gaze was skeptical, I was shy because I wore heels too. I had to be careful of my steps, his finger went to his jawline, and he rubbed it gently, before I got close. He shook his head at me. “Change.” It was a simple order. I replied with a cranky smile and turned back to the stairs, he held the magazine and flipped through it. “We don’t have the whole night for this, Avery.” I heard him mutter, and I went back to the room to get changed. Everything I brought was on the bed, the clothes which I thought were decent enough, the shoes, and the bags. This was the seventh wear, and he didn’t seem pleased with anything. I expected it. He never thought about what the occasion was for, how I was supposed to know what I was going to get.I groaned as I fished out the next bag and took the dress out of it, this was a blue dress, like a mist blue, and with an open back, strapless, and flared at the waist, I remembered wheat

Avery. I didn’t know what I should feel about the news, excited, anxious, worried, scared but above all, he was going to make me Luna. He said he was going to make me Luna!I kept pacing in the room, I didn’t know what to do. If he was truly going to make me his Luna, the Alpha was going to keep me. The pain and weak muscles from earlier seemed to have healed, and I was lost in thought. I wouldn’t be able to go back to my father, I would face Judy or her mother, Hera. I will be here or close to the Alpha, wherever he is going to take me. I stopped pacing, and sat on the bed, my feet tapping on the floor. I felt like I was starting up a new experience, the one I completely had no idea about, unlike Judy, this was what she had been prepared for all her life. I have never thought this far for myself, and now, I should get ready to be Luna. Luna. Oh gracious. “Miss Avery.” I got up from the bed. “Yes.” “A call came from the Alpha, if there’s anything that you might need, and

Alpha Hector. “…I suspected that something was wrong, you were going in and out of the Pack house late at night, and sometimes you didn't return home. I found those men dead and I’m quite sure your Beta must have told you about it. They were killed and their bodies hidden, then I had a thought…” He stepped closer and I waved at the guard to back down and leave. “How can such a thing happen in the Pack and the Alpha has no idea about it, it doesn’t make sense because you overlook everything that goes on in the Pack. And I found out it was the Beta who killed them, because he had a unique way of killing his prey. I traced it down to him and I wasn’t wrong about it.”“And the only person who can order the Beta to do anything because he can’t act on his own is the Alpha.” “Which is no other than my beloved Uncle.” I ignored the sarcasm in his voice. “This morning, I decided to follow you, I saw you taking some things into the car which looked quite personal.
