Chapter 2 I Plead Guilty!

Author: Mu An
It was as though a piece of juicy meat was thrown to a pack of evil wolves.

“Jared, Jared, save me…

“Get lost! Don’t touch me! Don’t touch me, ah —”

Gwen White really felt like dying at that instant.

She tried her best to hold on to her remaining clothes and cried out to Jared Crawford for help. The prisoners from the other cells could not stand her hopeless cries.

Jared kept a straight face even after looking at her. “Experience how terrified and fearful Janice was feeling at that moment. Oh, no, perhaps you’ll enjoy the process. After all, you’ve probably slept with many men.”

He turned and left after saying that!

A click was heard as he closed the cell’s door behind him, and he disappeared from her sight.

He really left Gwen with the three men!

The three prison guards became more barbarous after Jared left. “Your skin’s so tender that water might flow out if I pinch you.”

Gwen crawled toward the door with all her might. Even if she were to die, she would never be sullied by the men!

However, the prison guards pulled her back by her ankles after she crawled a few steps, hence she scratched the floor while she tried to scramble away.

She felt the immense pain on her fingertips through her heart as they were linked.

Left with no choice, Gwen shouted in despair, “I plead guilty! I plead guilty!

“Jared! I admit that I hired some thugs to bully Janice, I admit…”

“Bam!” The cell’s door was opened once more, and the man who left stood tall like a god who ruled the world.

“I admit it, I plead guilty, everything was my doing… Jared, don’t do this to me…”

Gwen crawled to his feet and clung to the bottom of his pants like a drowning person grabbing onto the last straw.

All of a sudden, the world spun around her, and her eyes closed as she passed out.

By the time Gwen regained consciousness, she was already at the hospital.

The sounds of an IV drip were heard, as well as some voices in the background. She could tell that the voices belonged to Jared and Grandpa Crawford.

“B*stard!” Grandpa Crawford trembled due to anger. “Gwen is your legal wife, and yet you let those scums bully her. What good does it do you?!”

Jared responded indifferently, “I was only frightening her so that she’ll plead guilty.”

“Plead guilty? Didn’t I ask you to break off all ties with that woman long ago? Jared, I’m telling you, Gwen’s the only daughter-in-law that I’ll accept in the Crawford family! I’m warning you, you better behave well and stop causing trouble, or I’ll make you pay!”

Grandpa Crawford chastised and slammed the door as he left.

When Jared turned to look, he noticed that Gwen had already awoken. He sneered. “Don’t think that this is over, Gwen, I’m not done settling accounts with you yet!”

‘He actually thinks what he did to me at the prison wasn’t enough…’

Gwen felt a throbbing pain in her heart. She expressed with a flat voice, “You never trust what I say. You only trust Janice Sanders, and you’ll only frame me… Jared, you always say I have another man, but you’re clearly the only man I have.”

Jared looked more displeased after the matter was brought up. “Go on! Keep pretending! You know best what you did during our wedding night!”

‘Here we go again,’ Gwen thought.

‘I clearly gave him my virginity during our wedding night.

‘He kept insisting that I betrayed him and that he never entered the bridal room.

‘But how could I have cheated on him?’

Everyone in Fuzhou knew Gwen had loved the Crawford family’s eldest son for ten years, so how could she have slept with another man on her wedding night?

Gwen felt like her heart was pricked by a needle. “Can you stop insulting and say unfair things about me? On our wedding night, we…”

“Don’t you think I would know if I slept with you or not?” Jared cut her off and said with a gloomy face, “Gwen, do you know why I’ve never laid a finger on you even though we were married for a year?

“It’s because — I despise you for being dirty!”

Jared traveled day and night after receiving the news so as to meet Gwen. Zach did not stop him from meeting her. “She’s in the bedroom. Go in and tell her everything you want to say because the doctor said that she might not make it through the night.” “Gwen, Gwen…” Jared cried as he staggered into the room. “Gwen, Gwen.” Gwen had already dozed off, but she opened her eyes after she heard the voice, which she had not heard for a long time. “Jared, why are you here?” Jared leaned on her bed as he cried bitterly. “Gwen…” Gwen tried hard to open her eyes as she was weary. When she looked at him, old memories flashed in front of her eyes. When she was 12 years old, her dad passed away after saving Grandpa Crawford. Hence, Gwen met Jared, and she was taken into the Crawford family by Grandpa Crawford, where she began learning and growing with Jared. Gwen’s first awakening of love was when she was 15 years old. She had a crush on Jared, who was three years older than her, and

Many years passed in a flash, but stories about the Warren family and the Crawford family were heard without an end. It was said that the Warren family had a female successor, which was unprecedented in the family for a hundred years. Nonetheless, nothing could be done because Mrs. Warren could not bear another child due to her poor health. Besides, she was the only person who President Warren loved, so the Warren family was naturally handed down to Miss Warren. Miss Warren was also said to be a diligent person because she was able to take charge when she was 18 years old. She had represented her dad by going overseas to discuss a collaboration, where she secured ten million orders at once. The ancestors of the Warren family would be at ease knowing that their family was handed down to her. Furthermore, Miss Warren was said to have become the Warren Group’s president at the age of 20, making her the youngest president in her family’s history. Her parents traveled around the world

Gwen’s memory after she fell into the sea was blank. She tried hard to recollect her memory, but she only recalled glaring flames. When the bomb exploded, she and Zach were pushed into the sea by Jared. The sea, which had almost taken her life away twice, protected them this time, hence they were only slightly injured. On the other hand, Jared… “Janice committed suicide, whereas Jared lost an arm,” Zach told Gwen. “...” Gwen did not know what to feel about it. It was out of her expectations. After lying in a hospital bed for two days, she finally went to Jared’s ward. Jared was having an infusion in bed at that moment, and he was pale. When Gwen saw his missing left hand, she became a little teary. “Why did you do that?” However, Jared simply smiled. Ever since Gwen warned him not to send her anything anymore, he stopped sending things, but he still wanted to see her. Therefore, Jared would go from Fuzhou to Haicheng once in a while to steal glances of her in secret

“Zach! Zach!” Gwen shouted his name. Zach woke up very quickly and was dazed for three seconds before he took a look at his surroundings. In particular, he turned pale at the sight of the bomb on his body. “Quickly leave! Stella! Leave now!” Gwen shook her head. “I can’t leave, I want to save you!” She forced herself to calm down and tried not to tremble as she said, “I remember you told me that you were in the force for two years. Do you know how to defuse a bomb? Teach me, I’ll save you!” Zach shook his head. “There aren’t any tools around, so you can’t cut these wires!” “You just have to tell me how to save you!” Gwen responded and thought, ‘It doesn’t matter! I’ll definitely find a way to cut these wires!’ Zach inhaled deeply and exhaled. He had also recollected himself, so he furrowed his eyebrows while he quickly observed the type of bomb on his body. Zach used to be an outstanding special forces soldier in the past, so normal bombs were not a problem for him, and he im

“Aren’t you in prison? Why are you here?” Janice, who had somehow come out of prison, had a hideous look on her face. “That’s not important. What’s more important now is that we should settle our accounts, Gwen!” Gwen narrowed her eyes because she could not figure out if it was Zach or Janice who sent her the message. If Janice had sent it, how did she get Zach’s handphone? Therefore, Gwen backed away silently to open the distance between them, and she quickly racked her brain to come up with a plan. Nonetheless, she responded, “Our accounts? Are there unsettled accounts between us? If anything, you’re the one who owed me!” “I owed you? If you didn’t snatch my status as Mrs. Crawford, everything that followed after that wouldn’t have happened!” Janice was somewhat out of her mind. Gwen did not know what she had gone through in the prison during the four months. Gwen replied to her expressionlessly, “Do you need me to remind you? Jared only had a favorable impression of you be

  • Too Late To Say I Love You   Chapter 36 A Mysterious Gift

Gwen looked gloomy when she returned home that night, and Zach could tell at once what had happened. “Did he disturb you again?” “I’m so pissed off!” Gwen threw her bag hard on the couch. “He actually asked me to start over with him again? He’s crazy!” Zach’s face darkened, and he stood up and said, “I’ll go meet him.” “Don’t, you shouldn’t go.” Gwen quickly stopped him. As mad as she was, she was still rational. “If you go, you’ll definitely fight. In any case, he’s the eldest son in the Crawford family, and your family and his are evenly matched. If you have a huge conflict and it affects your company, it won’t be worth it.” Zach hugged her and expressed, “But I can’t stand seeing him harassing you every day.” Gwen smiled brightly. “I’ll just ignore him. I’m yours, and it’s a fact that can’t be changed no matter what he does.” “Mm.” Zach hugged her even more tightly because he was afraid that the men who coveted her would snatch her away. Gwen closed her eyes in his war
