Kian's POV

I felt an anger in me ride to the fore when I saw the letter sent by Maddox. I couldn't believe it at first that he would stoop so low. But then again I remembered that it was Maddox. He was a mad one. Someone who, if he didn't have the power he had in his hands, shouldn't have been taken too seriously by people of better minds like myself.

Staring back into Lessia's eyes also solved it for me. She had this calm aura. It was hard to get mad in her presence.

After explaining, she came and sat close to me. And then I felt it once again; a massively strong gravitating force that pulled me towards her so much that it took a lot from me to fight it.

My mind was strained just by how much i was fighting. I could feel my will getting weaker.
