I sat at the dining table, listening to my father bicker about the company and the success to be accomplished in the future.

I would have rather been in my house listening to Selena's harsh words than be in this dining room right now but I got a call from my mother early this morning that my father wanted to speak to all of us regarding something urgent, I didn't quite understand the urgency as we were all just sitting in the dining eating.

"Did you make this mother?" Astrid asked, taking another bite of the stake.

"Yes," my mother smiled, pleased that Astrid had yet again noticed the difference when it came to her cooking. "You always are able to tell the difference."

"This is really good," Astrid said with a smile as my mum extended her hand touching Astrid's face.

"Thank you, honey," my mother smiled back at her.

"It isn't news that both of you have to get married soon," my father finally spoke, stating the actual reason this meeting was called in the first place.
