AIDEN

I slowly opened my eyes, fighting through the grogginess. My head throbbed with pain and my body ached with a dull ache.

I winced as I tried to move, feeling the stiffness in my limbs. My eyes flickered around the room, taking in my surroundings.

As I took in my surroundings, I felt a sharp pain in my side. Lifting up the sheets and saw a bandage on my left side, as the realization struck me that I had been shot.
