“I brought you dinner.” Lara's voice from the doorway made me look up from my feet. “Sorry the door was… um.. Not there” Lara said awkwardly and walked in.

Her eyes traveled up and down my body as if she was trying to decide if she should talk anymore or not. When she saw me not react to her, or respond to her, she took a deep breath and came toward me, taking a seat on the chair in front of the dressing table right in front of the bed, facing me.

She held a worried look on her face. Her eyes searched for something for a few seconds before she started to speak.

“You don’t look good. I don’t need to tell you that, right?” she muttered in a low voice.

Why is she even here. I didn’t want to see anyone. I did not want to meet anyone. That damn door needed to be fixed so I can lock everyone out of here again. I needed my space.
