He was fuming as he stared at her in anger. Aria, his wife, remained unmoved. This is not the first time she has been yelled at by her beloved spouse. His new attitude just started recently and Aria wondered what was behind it. He was now returning home late at night, and the sight of her seemed to disgust him. What was once a perfect family was now crushing slowly. “But–” “–I'll speak and hear no more of this,” he abruptly interrupted. He then grabbed his briefcase from the couch and stormed out of the house in anger. When he was gone, Aria let out a deep breath, one she had been holding in. She sniffled and tried not to imagine any negative thoughts. Memories of their once beautiful relationship came flooding back into her mind, and that strengthened her. “Maybe he has been overworking himself,” she said to herself, since she couldn't think of any other reason behind his recent behavior. After hours of contemplating how to make up with him, she finally decided to deliver his food at his workplace. Since he hadn't had breakfast, she figured it would be the best way to show she agreed with him and to express her apology. *** Walking up to the Blackwood Enterprise where Lucas works as the Chief Financial Officer, Aria was greeted by the elegant structure of the building. It was one of the most stunning architectures she has seen. She entered the vast area and proceeded right to the elevator. Soon, she arrived at the fifth floor and turned towards his office with the package in hand. When Aria arrived at his door, she was surprised at herself for remembering it. He had once brought her to his workplace during a welcoming party, that was years back when they were newlyweds. During the event, she had visualized the whole place with her mind's eyes and now she could navigate the direction to his office without guidance. She smiled. She was ready to make amends with her husband and bring back what they had before. Their wonderful relationship. With the package in one hand, she opened the door and entered, wanting to surprise him. Suddenly, she gasped in bewilderment. Was her eyes playing tricks on her? Standing in front of the desk in the office was her husband thrusting in and out of the female seated in front of him. Her legs were wrapped around him and her arms were around his neck in a sexual way as she moaned quietly. The two seemed to be having a good time to not notice the lady staring at them in shock and disgust. Aria, still struck by the view before her, immediately dropped the package on the floor. This disrupted the love birds as they turned quickly to look. Lucas hurriedly pulled his pants up, while the lady hopped down from the table and pulled her skirt down. “How dare you walk into my office without knocking?” Lucas thundered. Aria, who was now angry, approached him asking, “Would you mind explaining to me what I just saw?” “Babe, who is she?” the lady asked. “Babe?” Aria repeated, as she looked from her husband to the lady, “I am his wife, you motherfucker!” “Oh, was she the–annoying thing–you always talk about?” the lady asked again, eying her. “Thing!” Aria yelled as she approached the lady with a closed fist. “Would you stop this nonsense!” Lucas shouted as he pulled his wife away. “I can't believe you would do this to me Lucas. Was this the reason you flared up at my proposal to work? So that you would keep me at home while you have sex with other women?” Lucas remained expressionless. His face held a blank stare as he watched his wife display her anger. When she was done, she stormed out in anger and went toward the elevator. As it opened, she caught sight of a group of men walking past her into the elevator and followed. The men stared at her as she entered and the elevator closed before them. Now in an enclosed space, Aria sniffled a cry. “I will never forgive you Lucas for doing this to me.” she cried, “I loved you with all my heart and this is how you reciprocate it.” She had forgotten the men behind her, as she clutched onto her chest in pain. Soon, she cleaned her eyes and became quiet. The elevator opened and the men walked out including Aria. They walked towards the exit, but one remained behind Aria. “I see that you are in pain,” the man asked in a deep voice, “did something terrible happen?” Aria turned to see who was talking. She locked eyes with a man she has never seen before. He looked undoubtedly handsome with his cold blue eyes, a well-built physique, and a striking well-defined face. “Who are you and how do you know I am in pain?” Aria asked out of curiosity. “If you must know, my name is Damien,” he started with a straight face, “and your face says it all.” He tucked his hands into the pocket of his pants, “May I know the reason behind your sadness?” he questioned firmly. “I do not wish to tell a mere stranger about my private life.” Aria blurted out quickly. “I heard you mention a guy's name back there,” he pointed at the elevator, “Does this have to do with your relationship with him?” Aria did not say a word. She had forgotten she wasn't alone in the elevator. But still, she couldn't admit that to a complete stranger. “What if I tell you there's a way to get back at him?” the man said amidst the silence. Aria's face lit up quickly as she turned to face him. “And how would that happen?” she asked, with a raised brow. Damien's lips curled up into a smile, “Marry me.” 🌼Hey lovelies, 🌼Don't forget to follow for more updates! ♡♡♡🌼“Lucas–” Isabella started when she caught sight of him entering the room as she opened it. Before she could continue, Lucas raised his hands to stop her. It was clear she was drunk, she could see it from the way he smelled and staggered. Isabella held her nostrils as she walked behind him. “You have been drinking.” she commented. Lucas said nothing. He only plopped down on the bed and rested his back, sighing heavily. “Fuck!” he yelled out suddenly. “I still can't get over all that has happened.” “Drinking away your life won't help you, Lucas. You need to step up and find something to do.” Isabella told him. Lucas threw her a glance, a very cold one, but she did not bulge after all, someone needed to tell him that. Ever since his return, he had been behaving weirdly. She noticed he always came back late, behaving drunk and nonchalant. This wasn't the life she wanted with him. “Who are you to tell me what to do?” Lucas snapped out of anger. His eyes looked red as h
The last thing Sophie had expected was meeting Aria at her door just a few hours after she had left. Her face looked swollen like she had taken some time to cry off her tear gland. “Aria,” Sophie called out softly, “what the hell happened?” Aria stared blankly at her, not knowing what to say. Then she grabbed her bags, dragging it all the way in. “Hold on, let me help.” Sophie said as she lifted the heavy one to the room. “Did something happen?” Sophie inquired as Aria slouched down onto the couch. “He was with her?” Aria managed to say. “Who was with who?” Sophie asked, confused. “He didn't even wait for me to leave fully.” Aria continued, ignoring Sophie's question. “You mean Damien?” she asked. Aria nodded slowly. “And Camille?!” Aria nodded again. “Hell nah! Why would he do that?” A drop of tear fell from Aria's eyes. She wiped it off immediately. It was of no use crying over him. He was gone anyway. Sophie went over to where she sat and cuddled her gently. “You
The next morning Aria woke up to the stench of alcohol emitting from the living room. She got up from the floor where she laid and began to pick the beer bottles that were scattered on the floor. Then her gaze fell on Sophie who was sleeping upside down from the couch to the floor. Aria shook her head and went to where the lady laid, putting her in a position that was deemed manageable.“Blake?” Sophie called.“It’s me, Aria.” “Oh, Aria.” Sophie said as she felt Aria's hair. “Are you Blake's new girlfriend?”Aria rolled her eyes. “You should probably go back to sleep. You're drunk.”“Yeah. Right.”After about an hour, Aria was done cleaning and freshening up. She met Sophie already seated in the living room, holding her head.“I have a headache.” she told Aria.“I made hungover soup. You can try it out.”“Perfect. Where are you going by the way?”“I need to go pack my remaining stuff.
The door banged furiously as Isabella went to open it. Immediately the door opened, Lucas staggered in, almost tripping and falling to the floor.“Lucas.” Isabella said when she saw him.She reached for his arm, trying to steady him, but Lucas casted her an irritating glance before shoving her hand away.“Get away from me!” he yelled.Isabella stepped back, noting he was already drunk, but she did not go away, she only stood watching him as he landed on the couch.Your ex-wife–”“–don’t you dare mention anything about her to me. Don't you get it?!” “Why are you raising your voice at me?! If you want to do that you do it to Aria, not me!” Isabella yelled back.Lucas cast her another glance and stood up slowly, he raised his hand to hit her, but quickly shove her to the couch. “I said don't mention her again!”“Fuck!” he added as he struggled with his tie.Isabella felt her chest start to beat f
“What is it? You don't want me?” Damien asked when he noticed Aria did not want to enter the vehicle. Aria did not say anything. She was still contemplating on if she should or should not enter. “What is your answer going to be?” Damien asked again with a slight smirk. He was sure she had no oth
“Sir.” Adrian called as he entered the office in a hurry. Damien, who had been lost in thought, quickly regained consciousness and looked at his assistant.“Yes, Adrian? Is there a problem? And why didn't you knock?” he asked him.“I did, but it appears you were too busy,” the man explained as he
“Who the hell does he think he is?” Damien yelled in anger as he slammed the door behind him. He walked towards his office, pulling his tie as he walked while Adrian trotted behind him in a slow and calculated manner. He was aware of his boss' temper, and the only thing he could do was distance h
