LOGINAria sat in the sitting room awaiting her husband's return. It was almost late but she couldn't sleep, not until she heard an explanation from her husband's mouth.
Soon, she heard the door open and stood swiftly as Lucas walked in with his briefcase in hand. As she was about to lash out, she caught sight of the lady she had previously seen him with in the office. The lady strutted in sexually behind Lucas, her fingers entwined in his as he led her into the sitting room. “What is all this?” Aria demanded, “How dare you bring–” Before she could complete her statement, Lucas slams her chest with a file. “I need you to sign those immediately.” he said. Aria examined the file, “What is this?” “Divorce papers, my dear.” Lucas announced and the lady giggled, “I need you to sign those and get out of the house!” “W-why are you doing this to me?” Aria asked with tears in her eyes, “Have I ever done anything wrong to you?” “Enough of all these questions!” he yelled, “Get this papers signed and get out! I don't care where you will end up, but I need you out immediately.” With tears in her eyes and with shaking hands, Aria bent down to sign the papers. *** It was cold and late into the night. Aria sat by the bus stop, awaiting the last bus. She had been thrown out of her house by her now ex-husband, the man she thought loved her. Now she was all alone with only one place on her mind to go, her best friend's house. Few minutes later, she caught sight of two men approaching her with seductive smiles. “What is a sexy lady like you doing outside on this cold night?” one of them asked. Aria's body shivered as they got close to her. One of the men with a cap on, brushed his fingers on her neck, tracing it down to her breasts. “I can warm you up, you know.” he said and the two burst out laughing. “Don't you dare touch me!” Aria blurted out amidst her fear. “Wow, the bitch got some nerve,” the second man said as he grabbed her waist and plunged her forward towards him, “And you know what turns me on? A feisty bitch.” he said and pulled one strap off her shoulders, exposing her bra. Meanwhile, Aria fought to break free from these men's clutches, but she couldn't. In her mind she cussed Lucas and the day she met him for putting her in this situation. Before she could resist anymore, the men pinned her to the wall. “How dare you lay a hand on her!” A familiar voice exclaimed. It was the same man Aria had seen earlier, Damien, the one who had proposed a marriage to her. He was here again and Aria wondered if he was really serious about the whole marriage thingy. On seeing him, the two men ran away, leaving Aria to fix her clothes. “Are you by any chance following me?” she asked as Damien neared her. “Don't you think I require a ‘thank you’, seeing that I just saved you from those monsters.” “Thank you,” Aria muttered, shamefully. Examining her luggage, he ignored her gratitude and asked, “You seem to be stranded. Are you okay?” “I was thrown out of the house by my ex-husband and his new lover.” she finally admitted since there was no use keeping it a secret from him. Instead of comforting her, he left her and went to his vehicle. When he came back to her, he had an envelope in his hand and handed it to her. “What is this?” Aria asked as she stared at the envelope. “A marriage contract,” he told her, “I need you to get married to me and be my wife and then I'll help you get revenge against your ex-husband. That way we both get what we want.” Aria's gaze was fixated on the envelope. Contract marriage?, she questioned herself. This could be the answer she needed right now. A revenge that would put her ex-husband in the worse of all places. She wants to make him feel so miserable, just as he has made her feel. Still, she was hesitant to sign. Signing contracts was something she hates doing especially since it would be for quite a long period. She looked at the man in front of her. He looks astonishingly attractive in comparison to Lucas. At least for a contract marriage, he has the looks, but Aria was not going to dwell on that. She now has one mission: to wreck her ex-husband's life and that of his lover. “After we both get what we want, will the contract end?” Aria asked. Damien smirked, “Yes. But I don't think you will want to end the agreement.” Aria raised a brow, “And why is that?” “Why don't you wait and see?” he grinned. After a few minutes of deliberating about signing the contract, Aria eventually asked, "How am I sure you will help me gain my revenge?" Upon hearing this, Damien smiled. He had been expecting the question. “Well, I would like to properly introduce myself,” he began. “As I previously stated, my name is Damien Blackwood, and I am the CEO of Blackwood Empire,” he paused, “That includes the Blackwood Enterprise.” Aria was completely taken aback. The man before her is not only the young trending billionaire she has heard about, but he is also her ex-husband's boss! Now she could see why he was after her, they would both have their gains either way. With a smile on her lips, she collected the pen he was holding out to her and without thinking, she signed the papers. It might be for quite a while but she was entitled to a lot of things that could make her destroy Lucas' entire life with just a blow. When she was done signing, Damien took her hand in his and led her to the vehicle. “As my soon-to-be wife, what do you say we treat your ex the way he deserves?” Aria grinned. Now that is more like it.Damien was lost in thought as he drove home. His mind drifted back to the dinner he had with his father. The old man had told him how glad he was to have done things he couldn't do.“I might not have been a sole part of your childhood up to adulthood but I'm proud of the man you have become.” he had told him.Damien had been speechless, not knowing what to say or do.“Eleanor told me how you had tracked her location and begged her to come back.” He paused and sighed, “I have tried as much as possible to forget about everything, but still, memories about her still flood back, not until I saw her.”“I acted out of feeling, father.”“You did well, Damien. And now we have settled our differences because of you.”“I'm glad, father.” Damien said.“And as for Aria…”Damien looked at him.“She's really wonderful. Maybe I shouldn't have concluded before seeing her.” he had told him.“What are you thinki
The next morning, Aria woke up to the bright light that seeped in through the curtain. She smiled and turned only to find Damien at the opposite side of the bed. Aria gasped wondering how they had landed up together. She remembered the dinner with the parents and him during her home and then feeling sleepy not until he carried her to the room and–Her eyes widened. They had had sex!She glanced at the window and noticed it was bright already and she was already late for work. Just as she wanted to get up she felt a hand curled around her waist.“Don't go yet.” Damien mumbled.“I have to work.” Aria told him as she pulled it gently.“You can skip today. I will have them understand.”“No, Damien. I will not be misusing my relationship with you.”Damien sat up quickly. “So you agree we are in a relationship?”Aria rolled her eyes playfully. “Oh please. I have to go.”“Fine.” Damien said
The clock was ticking. It was already past 5pm and Aria was seated at the makeup desk with Sophie helping her put her hair into a bun. Aria was nervous, she could feel it because it was a few hours more before she would meet Damien's parents. She had told him about her decision to accept the dinner invitation and he had offered to pick her up, now she was getting dressed and wondering if it was all a dream.“You look gorgeous, babe.” Sophie commented as Aria stared at herself in the mirror. She could not believe the elegant, sophisticated lady she was looking at. From the emerald green pencil gown to the pair of white stilettos and clutch, every part of her exuded elegance and mystery. She did not belong to the rich society but she looked like one.“You are going to take their breaths away by your beauty.”“Oh please.” Aria said, secretly rolling her eyes. “I am already nervous.”“Nervous? That is totally normal.” Sophie said, th
“Aria!” Sophie shouted the moment Aria stepped into the house.“Sophie.” Aria said weakly as she crashed on the couch. “What happened to you?”“It is a seemingly long story.” Aria told her, then she went on to tell her how she was kidnapped.“Fuck Lucas! I hope he rots in jail and fuck Camille too, she is a devil!”Aria let out a weak chuckle. It was funny seeing Sophie cuss.“I missed you.” Aria said, hugging her.“Me too. I was so worried. I wanted to go look for you but I had no idea where.”“I'm glad you stayed back. Damien took care of everything.”Sophie smiled. “He is such a saviour. Guess he still loved you no doubt.”Aria let out a weak smile. She did not know if that was love or something else.***Hours later, Sophie decided to head home while Aria insisted on waiting for Damien. She wanted to confirm if her feelings were really true or false. It
“You are not supposed to be here.” Camille said with shock written all over her face.“I have every right to be here, Camille. Aria belongs to me.”“I belong to one no.” Aria chirped in.Damien turned to her.“You cannot deny that Aria. You cannot say you don't feel anything for me when your eyes say it all.” Then he averted his gaze to Camille, “you have come too far with this. The best you can do is to drop the weapon before things escalate.”Camille chuckled.“You always have everything under your control but this time I won't succumb to any of your tricks.”Damien sighed.“It is not a trick, Camille. Besides, I actually have everything under control like you said.”As he spoke, some men appeared from nowhere surrounding the whole place. On seeing them, Camille's eyes widened.“Shocked to see them? Mr. Pierce had known you were up to no good. Strangely he had been the first to find out about
“What do you mean by she's missing?” Sophie asked Adrian as she stood in the living room of Damien's house.“It has been two days since she left the house. I had let her be, thinking she was here and now you say she is not here?” she added.“You need to calm down. She will soon be found.”Sophie stared at him with an unbelievable expression. She was regretting the fact that she did not follow her instinct to know that something was wrong. She could have matched the dots when Aria did not answer her calls.A lot of things were going through her mind but none of it was greater than the fact that her best friend was nowhere to be found. At that moment, Damien appeared behind her.“Sophie?”She turned quickly, locking gaze with him.“Aria's missing.”“I know and I am about to go find out where she is.”“I am coming with you.” she told him.The guilt alone was wearing her down and she coul
