Storm
I stood there in front of the dorm building and watched as Felix and Winter drove off in the hire car. Once the car was out of sight, I made my way back upstairs to the dorm room which would now be my home for the next four years. When I got back up to my room, I was standing at the door when I realised that I had left my key on my bed with the information pack the administration lady had given me earlier.
With tears still streaming silently down my cheeks, I knocked on the door and a moment later Lilly opened the door again, smiling at me. “Sorry, I forgot my key,” I explained to her as I stepped inside the dorm room, wiping the tears from my face.
“That’s okay,” she said quietly as she smiled at me.
I quietly followed Lilly into the room that I would be sleeping in. When I got in the room, I noticed that there were two other blonde girls sitting on Lilly’s bed, and just like Lilly they were also werewolves. Seeing my confusion, Lilly said, “Hi Lena, sorry to appear as though we are ambushing you because, we aren’t, honestly we aren’t. I just thought you guys should all meet. These are my two sisters, Leah and Julie.”
“Sisters? You mean like Sorority sisters?” I asked confused.
The girl, Leah, I think her name was, laughed and said, “No not sorority sisters, we are biological sisters, triplets actually.”
The girls were not identical, and the only thing that was the same about them appearance wise was their shade of blonde hair, Julie and Leah had green eyes, whereas Lillie’s eyes were a beautiful deep shade of blue.
“Oh, okay then, well, hi, I am Lena, and it is nice to meet you all,” I replied. Then out of mere curiosity, I asked, “Where did the two of you come from? And how did you happen to get in here so fast? I didn’t think I was even gone that long.”
Seeing my apparent confusion, the three girls laughed, then Leah stood up and said, “Follow me.”
I followed the girls out of the bedroom and back into the lounge area, and Leah pointed out a room which was on the other side of the lounge room. “That is mine and Julie’s room right in there, it is set up exactly the same way as yours and Lilly’s.” Then pointing to a doorway just off the left side of the kitchen area, she said, “… and in there is the bathroom and opposite is the toilet, and the door to the right side of the kitchen over there, right beside mine and Julie’s room is the laundry, which has a front loader washer and a dryer in it.”
“Thank you for pointing that out for me, it’s a nice set up they have provided us with,” I told Leah as I gave her a small smile. Then I walked back into the bedroom I would be sharing with Lilly to begin unpacking.
“Can you please tell me if the closets on this side of the room are for my use? And if so, are they empty?” I asked Lilly.
“Yes, those are yours, and they are all empty,” Lilly replied.
I walked over to my bed and had just opened one of my duffel bags when Leah asked, “Do you need any help unpacking?”
“No thank you, I’ve got it. But thank you for the offer,” I replied.
“Well, do you mind if we stay in here and talk to you while you unpack?” Lilly asked.
“Knock yourself out,” I replied.
“So, are we going to bother to address the elephant in the room?” Julie asked, looking over at her sisters.
“Don’t you mean the wolf in the room,” I replied, trying to lighten the mood. My comment managed to make Lilly laugh out loud.
“Right,” Julie replied, not sounding impressed with my joke, “So, you smell like a rogue,” Julie stated looking at me.
“You’re right, I am a rogue, but I mean no harm to any of you girls, or to anybody else for that matter. I am just here to do my studies and earn my degree the same as everybody else here, and then I will leave and you will never see me again,” I replied, watching the three of them closely to gauge their reaction.
The three girls looked between each other as though they were trying to decide if I really was safe or not. I could appreciate their uncertainty over this awkward situation that we had suddenly found ourselves in. But apart from reassuring them that I meant them no harm, there wasn’t much else I could do. They would either accept what I was saying, or they wouldn’t.
“Lilly said that you came here with members of your family. I am guessing they are also rogues. So, what are they doing while you are here at school? Are they at university too? Or are they working in town…?” Julie asked.
“Neither!” I stated angrily, effectively cutting her off, “They are not even staying in Ireland. As soon as they left the campus, they went back to the airport to get on the Jet and leave the country!” I stated, my irritation at the presumptions being made coming through loud and clear.
“Wait, you’re rogues, and you have your own jet, how much money do you guys have?” Leah asked looking at me shocked.
“That’s rude! You know what? I am done talking about this topic. I am sorry, but I am done discussing my family and my family’s financial situation with you. I apologise if I sound rude because I am not trying to be. In my defence, I have only just met you people and there are certain topics that society states are off limits to people you don’t know that well. It is common courtesy that people accept boundaries. And from here on out the three of you can either accept that I mean you no harm or not, either way it is up to you, at the end of the day, it is that simple,” I replied.
The girls looked at me in shock at my brief outburst. Feeling a little guilty, I looked away from them as I began unpacking my suitcases in silence and putting my clothes and personal items away in the closets and draw space on my side of the bedroom. After a while, the girls who were still watching me unpack began making comments and asking questions regarding my clothing and shoes and accessories. The tension soon faded into the background, and it wasn’t long before we were joking and laughing just like normal girls.
I set my laptops and other electronics and stationery items up on my designated student study desk to prepare for when my classes would begin. The study desk was located against the wall at the end of my bed. Adjacent to it was Lilly’s desk, which she had already set up with her belongings. In between the two study desks, there was a bookshelf. Lilly had moved her items so we could have two shelves each.
The most precious items that I had brought with me, such as my mother’s jewellery, I left hidden in one of my duffel bags.
Once I had packed everything away out of my bags, I stored my bags in a closet. Once I had finished making my bed, I walked around and sat on it and waited until I was alone in the room. When the girls exited the room to make themselves lunch, I grabbed my cash out of my backpack. Leaving one thousand dollars in my backpack, I opened the closet with my bags in it, and hid the rest of the money in the bag with my mother’s jewellery. After I had hidden the money, I left the room and joined the girls in the kitchen to help them prepare lunch. My new life had begun. Now, it was time for me to settle into the life of a university student.
Storm The next morning, Doyle was so excited about the pregnancy that he couldn’t contain his excitement. From the moment we had woken up, he had been grinning like the cat that had gotten the cream, the milk, and the canary. When we had gotten Dalton and gone downstairs, he had announced it to everyone at the breakfast table. There had been cheers and congratulations and a few dirty jokes, but everyone was just as excited as we were about our new little surprise. After breakfast, Doyle had announced a pack meeting just as he had promised he would, and we had left to go to the place where my induction ceremony had taken place. When we arrived, I had looked at all the pack members who had been so warm and welcoming towards me and who could not contain their joy for me and Doyle when Dalton had been born; they had welcomed me into the pack as if I was part of their family. Now I was a little worried that they were all going to hate me
Storm We had flown back to Ireland, and I was glad to be back home. Doyle and I had hugged our baby boy close as soon as we had gotten home, and we had spent the evening watching movies with Leah, Lilly, and Julie. Mike had joined us as well. It had been a good family night. Before we had left Texas, Winter had pulled me aside and asked me so many questions about my life in Ireland. I know she wanted to make sure that I was happy, and that I was safe. I understood the protective side of her. She had stepped into the role of my mother right after our mother had been killed. I had explained everything to her. I had told her about Dalton, and I had explained to her that as a mother, I had held off mentioning him before, because I was protecting him. My baby had been the most important thing in my life, and I couldn’t risk Mason or our father finding out about his existence. As a new mother, Winter understood where I was coming from in that matter. We had talked about ou
Storm "I am only going to say this once, so all of you fuckers had better listen. I mean it, every single one of you. Even if Winter, Leon, Finn, and I have to tag-team it and fight our way through every member of this pack and have bodies piling up left, right and centre. I can firmly assure you, one way or another Finn and Leon will be the Alpha’s of this pack by sundown. Or at least what would be left of this pack anyway, because if anyone has earned the right to go on a killing spree through this fucked up pack… it is me! And rest assured if I start fighting any of you, those two will be right in the thick of it, so good luck with that,” I said, pointing to Doyle and Sean. “Now Josh, pull your head out of your ass and think before you speak. Because, since I have been back here, all you mutts have been acting as if this is all my fault. Like things suddenly went bad after I left! Lightbulb moment for all of you. Things were always bad in this pack and had been si
Storm I looked back towards the pack and said, “Members of the Hunter's Moon Pack as the two rightful heirs to this pack my sister Winter and I are going to install leadership for this pack. So, may I present to you, our choices for dual leadership, Leon, and Finn Weber. They are Alpha Felix’s brothers, so they are from an Alpha family, and they have our full support in this matter. So, if all of you screw up, we will all kick you asses.” Josh stepped forward, “Like hell, no way! You pair of traitorous bastards ran away like little cowards in the dead of the night. Where were the two of you when the pack was under attack? Hiding just like cowards, that’s where! Neither one of you deserves to be Alpha of this pack!” Josh spat; anger clearly displayed on his face. “And let me guess Josh. I suppose you think you deserve to be the Alpha of this pack!” I said looking at Josh and laughing in disgust. “I would be a better Alpha then either of you!” he
Storm As soon as we landed in Texas, Doyle hired an SUV to take us to the Hunter’s Moon pack’s territory. Upon our arrival there, it surprised me to see just how much damage had been done during the attack. There were burned out structures everywhere, and I could tell by the small number of people that were out and about tidying up, that the pack had suffered quite a significant loss in pack numbers. As soon as people saw me, I began receiving looks of hostility and blame. I didn’t let this phase me though. I didn’t like these people any more than they liked me. And as far as I was concerned, I didn’t care what they thought of me. I was standing beside Doyle and Sean when I sent a text to Winter. Me: Back in hell, where are you? Winter: Back on Texas soil, be with you soon xx Looking at one of the men who was standing nearby, I said, “You need to call a pack meeting now. Every pack member must be in attendance. Tell all the p
Storm During the flight I went and lay down in the master bedroom. I had so much on my mind, and I was totally wiped out. Plus, I was concerned about my baby. Separation anxiety had kicked in big time and had left me crying just like a baby. A while later, after my cry baby episode, I was laying in the dark trying to clear my head when Doyle came in. When he looked at me, he could see I had been crying. He came over to the bed and lay down beside me, pulling me into his arms. I lay there in his arms, with my head on his chest. “What’s wrong?” he asked. “Separation anxiety,” I whispered. “You’re missing Dalton?” he asked. I nodded in answer to his question. “I miss him already,” I whispered. “That is normal love. You will be worrying until you have him in your arms again and can see with your own eyes that he is safe,” he replied. I lifted my head, bracing all my weight on my right arm. I looked down at him for a moment before p
