Lilly
The moment the door closed, and my new roommate and her family had walked down the hall, I bolted into the bedroom which was directly across from mine on the other side of the lounge room. Jumping into the air like I had seen Spiderman do in heaps of movies, I launched myself on top of the sleeping form of my sister Leah, landing on her like a human cannonball.
Leah sat up in fright, screaming at me, “Lilly for the love of God, have you lost your ever-loving mind?”
Ignoring her question, I cried, “You guys will never guess what has just happened!”
“All I can say is for you to wake me up in this fashion, someone had better have died,” Leah snapped, clearly not impressed with my choice of morning wake ups for her.
“Well, we all might die in our sleep tonight, does that count?” I retorted, looking at her expectantly as I awaited her answer.
“Just what the hell is that supposed to mean?” my other sister Julie asked from her bed on the other side of the room.
“I just met our new roommate and her family. They are rogues,” I told them, grinning at the fact that I had known something before the two of them for a change.
“What?” they both cried in unison, sitting up in their beds and looking horrified at my revelation.
“You heard me! So, what do you think? Was it worth waking you up in that fashion over?” I taunted Leah.
“Lilly, knock it off, this is serious,” Julie chided, sitting up more in her bed, leaning against the headboard, and still looking concerned.
“We should ring dad, immediately,” Leah said, ignoring me and picking up her cell phone. Looking at me she asked, “Where’s the rogue?”
“She went downstairs with her family,” I replied, shrugging my shoulders.
Nodding at that information, Lilly dialled our father’s number putting the phone on speaker so Julie and I could hear the conversation. It didn’t take long for him to answer. “Leah, hello love,” he greeted.
“Hi Daddy, I have something to tell you,” Leah replied.
“Let me guess, you have found your mate and he is an alpha, so you will be abandoning my pack immediately?” my father said in a teasing tone, making Leah laugh.
“No, no, that’s not it. We might have a bit of a problem here at the university, though,” Leah told him.
“What kind of problem?” he asked, suddenly sounding his usual alpha self.
“We have a new roommate, I haven’t met her yet, but Lilly has, and she said that the girl is a rogue,” Leah told him.
“You’re boarding with a rogue?” he asked, sounding a mixture of shocked and disapproving.
“We didn’t choose this Daddy, the school handles these things not us girls, you know that better than anyone,” Leah replied, trying to remain diplomatic.
“No love, I understand. You’re right, I’m sorry. This is just a shock for me, that’s all,” he explained.
“Well, what do you want us to do about this? Lilly is totally convinced that we will all be murdered in our sleep tonight,” Leah replied, looking at me. I poked my tongue out at her, and I was rewarded with a wink and a smile from her.
“I’m sure that it won’t come to that love. Just monitor the rogue and check in with me daily. If anything happens, you call me immediately, understood?” he asked.
“Yes, Daddy,” we all replied in unison.
When Leah hung up the phone, we got up off her bed and made our way into my bedroom. As soon as we entered the room, Lena’s scent hit us, but the scent didn’t smell like the usual rogue smell. I couldn’t put my finger on it, but the scent was different. Shaking that thought off quickly, the three of us sat on my bed and gazed at her luggage. I knew that the bags were military duffel bags, and thanks to my father and my uncle Sean, I was familiar with the brand, and I knew the brand was an expensive one.
I had a lot of questions about our new roommate. Who was she? Where was she from? How had she become a rogue? Was she dangerous?
In that moment I would have liked nothing more than to go through her bags and try to get an understanding of who this Lena girl was as a person. But I didn’t want her to walk in on me invading her privacy and rifling through her luggage. That would have been awkward. It wasn’t long before I heard a knock on the door. Looking at my sisters, they both looked at me and motioned for me to go get the door. Getting up off my bed, I walked out of the room to answer the door.
Storm I stood there in front of the dorm building and watched as Felix and Winter drove off in the hire car. Once the car was out of sight, I made my way back upstairs to the dorm room which would now be my home for the next four years. When I got back up to my room, I was standing at the door when I realised that I had left my key on my bed with the information pack the administration lady had given me earlier. With tears still streaming silently down my cheeks, I knocked on the door and a moment later Lilly opened the door again, smiling at me. “Sorry, I forgot my key,” I explained to her as I stepped inside the dorm room, wiping the tears from my face. “That’s okay,” she said quietly as she smiled at me. I quietly followed Lilly into the room that I would be sleeping in. When I got in the room, I noticed that there were two other blonde girls sitting on Lilly’s bed, and just like Lilly they were also werewolves. Seeing my confusion, Lilly sai
Storm I thought that it was crazy that I had been here in Ireland for a week already, but I had to admit, I had found that I had seemed to be finding my feet alright. Since I had been here, I had taken to working out extensively in the university’s gym at all hours of the day and night and running for hours along assorted paths of an evening and between classes. It hadn’t taken me long to settle into my classes and honestly; I was finding university life extremely enjoyable. Winter and I had taken to calling each other every Tuesday and Friday night. This was so we could keep in touch easier. I enjoyed talking to her about what her and Felix had both been doing throughout the week and filling her in on my week. It was great that we were able to let each other know we were okay. I found I had peace of mind knowing she was okay, and I am sure she felt the same way. The girls and I had been spending a lot of time together outside of classes, and it surpr
Leah My sisters and I had fallen into a comfortable friendship with Lena since she had arrived at the university campus. Yes, she was a rogue, but she didn’t behave in the usual manner of any rogue I had ever met. Not that I had met many. In all honesty, I had never met a rogue before. But I had been told stories about rogues from my dad and my Uncle Sean and my Aunt Siobhan. I had heard about how they were all merciless and blood thirsty killers. But hearing those things about rogues, and seeing Lena in the flesh, had left me torn on my opinion of rogues. How many rogues had been perceived to be dangerous when they weren’t actually dangerous at all? How many good people just like Lena, had been brutally killed simply for being rogues? Every day I rang my dad and kept him apprised of the situation regarding Lena. I clarified that he had nothing to worry about. I told him that Lena was harmless, and that she was just a student who wanted to complete her school
Lilly We had finished our classes for the day, and we were making our way to the path we had chosen to run along of an evening. Ever since Lena had moved into the dorm with us, she had been working out like she was possessed. A week ago, she had announced to us at breakfast that she was going to get us girls into the routine of running and exercising every day to build up our fitness levels. I had to say, I enjoyed the time we spent exercising with Lena. Lena pushed us to challenge ourselves, and it felt good to know what I could do. The thing I liked most when it came to exercising with Lena was that I had learned I was much stronger than I had first thought I was. The first few times we had exercised with her, my sisters and I had felt as though we were going to die the next day. But we still looked forward to our afternoon exercise sessions. What surprised me was how much energy Lena had. She ran three times a day and worked out in the gym morning and nigh
Storm The morning of my eighteenth birthday had arrived! I was sitting in the lounge room on the big three-seater lounge chair listening to Leah and Julie have a playful argument regarding a guy that Julie was convinced Leah had a thing for. I knew that she didn’t have romantic feelings for anybody, and that all this teasing was just in good fun. By now these crazy arguments between the girls over random nothings had become the norm for me since I had been living here with them. It was almost like they got off on annoying the crap out of each other. In an attempt to win the argument, Julie had recruited Lilly onto her side. The plan had obviously been for Lilly to help Julie to gang up on Leah. Not wanting to be outdone by them, Leah was now trying to recruit me onto her side. But now that they had seen what Leah was trying to do, Lilly and Julie had decided they were not going to let that happen! So, they were trying to get me to side with them as well.
Storm At the mere mention of his name, I could sense my heart rate pick up as my anxiety increased, and I was sure that I was going to have a panic attack. I had been socialising and living with the offspring of a highly feared Alpha, and I had had no idea of the problems I was creating for myself, as I had built friendships with them. I wasn’t surprised that I hadn’t known they were from an Alpha family though; I mean, I had obviously never seen the girls in their wolf forms. But to know I had been living with the daughters of the worlds most renowned rogue killer, I was now feeling more terrified than I had felt in a while. I had come here to get away from my father and brother who terrified me, and now I was having to deal with a highly feared rogue killer. This wasn’t going to end well! I think it was safe to say that my luck had officially run out! The problem was, the girls being from an Alpha family, meant that now that their father had taken an intere
Storm A mutual sadness was now hanging over the four of us as we sat around the table, each of us locked in our memories and pain. Suddenly Leah stood up and said, “Okay, enough of this sadness, today is supposed to be a good day, a happy day, it is Lena’s special day, so let’s spend today having a good time celebrating Lena’s birthday, and we will leave worrying about going home as a problem for tomorrow.” “Girls, I have one quick question, do you mind if I ask, where is home for you guys?” I asked. “Carraroe, it is an hour’s drive from here,” Leah said. “So, Lena, how old are you today?” Lilly asked. “Eighteen,” I replied. “Ooh you are old enough to find your mate now,” Lilly squealed in excitement. Her response had me thinking about Josh. But not wanting the memory of him to ruin my new life, I pushed all thoughts of him out of my mind. “How old are you girls?” I asked. “Nineteen,” Julie replied. “And, have a
Storm We made our way into our bedrooms and got ready to go out for my birthday celebration. I was wearing a pair of jeans and a hoodie with my favourite pair of combat boots. I had dressed for warmth and comfort because I had no idea what the girls were planning to do to celebrate my birthday. I slipped five hundred dollars into the cover of my phone case and pulled my hair back into a high ponytail. I made my way out to the lounge room and waited for the girls to finish getting ready. When everyone was ready, we left the dorm room making our way downstairs and getting into Julie’s car, which was a dark grey Porsche Cayenne. Driving into Galway we went to Taylors Hill Pitch & Putt Club. The girls had decided to play a round of mini-golf, and I must admit, I never knew mini-golf could be so much fun. I had always thought mini golf was for nerds, but the girls and I were laughing and having more fun than I had honestly thought could be possible, especially
