Chapter 43

Mia POV

I woke up this morning with a new resolve. I am going to go to work as nothing happened, but I will call Domonic this morning as ask him to meet me at a cafè far away from the pub. I need to tell him what Scott did.

I walk down to the kitchen and see Liam already there. He is sitting at the table looking through one of his comic books.

"Mia, why is Patrick not coming around anymore?" Liam asks me without even looking up from his book. I am shocked. I expected this question, but I hoped it will never come.

"We broke up silly." Liam looks up at me.

"Is it something I did?" I walk to Liam and kneel next to him placing my hand on his arm. I see the sadness in his eyes.

"Liam, listen to me. Patrick and I broke up. This is nothing to do with you. People break up everyday."

"But you were so happy until you let me meet Patric and and his son." The tears are flowing from his eyes. My heart squeeze. How can this small, sweet litt
