Chapter 11

"So you basically did that?" William asked Brieanna.

"Duh," she said and rolled her eyes. "I did so many crazy things but yeah that video just posted online on itself and everyone thinks I'm a slut and that's just fucked up."

William chuckled, thinking that there was really more to this girl. He wish he could bring back the Brieanna she was just talking about. They just finished the fifteenth round of the game and now the sun is setting.

"So what about you? How come you're living alone?" Brieanna asked.

"I'm all grown up. I'm twenty four for Pete's sake," William cooly answered that made her raise a brow and gasped.

"You're five years older than me!" She exclaimed. Not in her wildest thoughts did she think that he was so much older than her. She really can't believe it!

William laughed at the expression she just showed.

"What're you laughing at?" Brieanna asked him frowning.

"Do I really look that old to you?" William asked back chuckling. Brieanna then glared at him with confusion on her face. "I'm actually twenty one and going to be twenty two on April 7th."

Brieanna continued to glare at William, she doesn't believe him!

"What?" He asked chuckling as he looks at the face she's showing him.

"You effin arse is confusing me! Are you really twenty one?" She asked.

"Yes! I am twenty one and April 7th is my birthday, don't forget that," William answered her.

Brieanna stopped glaring at him and thought about his birthday. She knows someone who has the same birthday as him.

Then a lightbulb just crossed her mind, it's her childhood best friend! It's Jane's birthday! Upon remembering that, she also recalled what happened to her... Effie is Jane's older brother. The bastard who-

"Hey! You okay?" William snapped Brieanna back to reality. "You spaced out on me."

Brieanna blinked for a couple of seconds and then met William's eyes. "Uhm, yeah. I am okay. I uh..." she looked away and acted unsettled.

Based on the way she looks, she had recalled something terrible. So William cupped her face all a sudden.

Brieanna was surprise and doesn't quite know why he did that. She froze and gazed at his ocean eyes. She saw him smile at her and she tried but she just can't move.

"I'm here for you, so you shouldn't be afraid of nothing at all," he muttered while staring intensely at her eyes. "You look the cutest when you always let me save you."

Hearing that just made Brieanna's heart beating super fast. Her eyes widened as well. The longer she stares at those ocean eyes, the faster her heart beat. It's like she's going to drown-no! She can't!

Brieanna shifted her gaze at the side, she wants to avoid him. His stare is so intense it's like taking her soul.

William let go of her, he enjoyed doing that. He really likes the fact that he can make her feel saved. She makes him feel like a knight that will save her in feeling so blue.

It was getting awkward and Brie cleared her throat.

"Do you want to eat outside? Eat some street foods at the night market. You haven't been there, I assume." William hopes that she hasn't. It will be great if he'd be the one to show her around.

"Nope... I-uh haven't," she answered while shaking her head slightly.

William grinned hearing her response. He stood up and gave her a hand. Once she took it, he pulled her up. He didn't want to let go of her hand so he just hold on to it while dragging her outside.

At the night market, Brieanna felt like she's in a magical paradise again. The lights are too uplifting! It's really making her happy! Look up and you'll see lanterns and surrounding her were warm fairy lights.

"Here," William said, handing her a plastic cup full of fish balls. He also gave her a barbecue stick to pin the fishballs.

Brieanna smiled and said, "thanks".

They both just sat down at the water fountain, eating and enjoying each other's presence in the crowd. And then Brie accidentally glanced at William. Her glanced then turned to a stare.

It has only been a day with him yet she feels like she has known him all her life. She sees Kirby in him yet William still glows as himself. Fred should be the one doing what Will is doing... but then he chose to give up on her. You can't force someone to do things for you. Forcing something is self wrecking.

Brieanna looked down as she realized that she's being all down again. She has to think positive!

"Forget Fred Brie! He isn't worth it!" She mumbled to herself.

William secretly smiled to himself as he saw what she did. Brieanna can be really funny and too cute, he thought.

"Do you want some drinks?" He asked her.

"Huh?"

Yep! He knows she was talking to herself again and escaped reality. "Do you want some drinks?" He asked again.

"Uhm... yeah. A bottle of water will be great," she answered.

"Water? Don't you drink soda?"

"Uhm... sometimes but for now, I just want water."

Will took one last look at her and then he turned and walk towards a stall.

"Two bottle of water, 350 ml," Will told the vendor.

"Here," the vendor said handing him the two bottles. He took out money and paid him.

"Thanks," Will said before leaving.

He was on his way back when he remembers the bracelet. Shoot! He almost forgot about that. He strides towards the stall of that guy who has tattoos.

"Hey! Damn! I'm sorry it took me long," he said reaching the tattoo guy's place. He was still catching his breath for he ran in the middle of the way.

"I thought you weren't going to come anymore," the guy calmly said and then smiled at him. "So where is she?"

"Ah she's at the water fountain. She really liked the night market," William answered.

"That's good to hear," the big guy said and touched his beard. "I have few concerns about your sketch. I suggest you put names under, also I have luminous powder. I sprinkle some on the carving so the words glow in the dark. It wont fade as I had varnished it."

"That's really pretty cool," William remarked as he watch the guy take a box.

The stall owner opened the box and took out the bracelets. He turned off the light and William was amazed at the outcome.

"Woah! That's really not what I expect, it's damn great!" He commended.

"So, should I carve the names?" The guy asked.

"My name is William, that's W-I-L-L-I-A-M and her name is Brieanna, that's B-"

"Just write it down," the guy said as he gave him a pen and paper. He took it and started writing their names.

"I'm Jaimé and that's J-A-I-M-É with e having an accent," Jaimé (pronounced as Haymey) introduced his self.

"Nice meeting you," William said and gave the paper.

As he wait for the carving to finish, he looked around at Jaimé's stall. He's so talented yet so underrated. People nowadays are so blind, appreciating what's only beautiful by popularity and not by beauty itself.

"Here they are," Jaimé said and handed William the bracelets.

"They look really great. Thanks man!" William was really amazed by his work.

After paying for the bracelets he went back to her. As soon as she was in view, he wanted to run towards her and give her the bracelets but then seeing that expression on Brieanna's face... he needed to capture that.

William took out his phone and then focused the camera on her. She was smiling so bright looking up to the lanterns while holding her plastic cup and stick. He put down his phone as he was done, then he continued to stare at her innocent smiles.

Damn! His heart is pounding so damn fast!
