Fear of the Blood Diamond!

“Mom, dad! Why are we merging with Moonshine?” I asked in a demanding tone.

“Oh! So, you heard about it” said my mother with a bitter smile while looking at Lily with the corner of her eyes causing her to choke in her food and my father passed her a glass of water.

Everyone knows how Lily works like my spy in the pack and she is so shamelessly proud about the fact!

 “Yeah, I did. Now answer me, why are we merging with those pathetic creatures?” I asked in an enraged tone while hitting my palm on the table making a thud noise.

Overflowing with emotions, I didn’t even let them answer my question and blasted them with more.

“We are merging with them in a week and still nobody considered telling me? Why we are in such hurry? Nobody wanted to know my thoughts in the matter? Am I not important?” I asked feeling completely betrayed by my own family and pack.

I felt like a used tissue!

“That is not the case.. El. the thing is..” my father tried to explain things to me but my stubborn self was still not ready to listen to anything yet.

“Is it because I have not changed yet? Because I am still in my human form and nobody from the pack consider me even a member? So, that’s the case, huh? This is how things are going to be from now on?” I asked in an utterly disappointed and hurt tone.

“We will love to explain everything to you, my dear, but will you give us chance to do so?” asked my mother annoyedly, tired by non-stop accusations.

“Okay, go on. Let’s hear it now” I said in a low tone while folding my hands on my chest.

I was throwing dagger at my parents with my intense gazes. My own parents disrespected me  and my family’s name by even thinking of a possibility of handing the title of alpha of our pack to our enemy Moonshine if I don’t turn in future. 

 “First of all, everyone considers you a member of this pack, nobody is against you. They even call you their future Luna” My mother explained politely.

“On my face, yes. I am not sure about what they must be calling me behind my back” I replied coldly with an eye roll.

My mother looked at me with disbelief as I kind of accused our pack’s people.

“You can’t speak against our people’s loyalty, young lady! They have always supported us. I will not tolerate such behavior even from you” said my mother in a furious tone.

 “I am sorry” I said as soon as I realized my mistake.

The people of our pack have always stayed by our side no matter who is against us, I have no right to question their loyalty as they have proven it unlimited time.

 “Then why are we merging with others? Is it because I am not a werewolf yet and you want another Alpha, just in case, I never change?” I asked again.

Lily looked at me accusingly as she already knows my secret.

I don’t know what I really want! At once, I don’t want to be werewolf at all and live my life happily as a normal human. I even hid the fact that I have already changed from my whole bloody pack, even from my parents.

On the other hand, I am feeling hurt and betrayed, that my parents are choosing someone else to be the Alpha of our pack because I made them believe that I can’t change!!

‘What is wrong with me?’ I questioned myself.

“That’s not the case, my dear. Why would we do such thing?” asked My father in a concerned tone and continued after keeping her hand on my palm gently,

“The vampires have returned to the town and we need to protect ourselves. That is the sole reason for this merge” he added in a serious tone.

 “So, what if a bunch of leeches have returned to the town? It’s not like it’s the first time certain clan of blood suckers has entered this town! We can take care of them on our own like we always do! Why are we including ‘them’ in our business?” I asked in disbelief while holding my father’s hand.

My father is the bravest and most powerful Alpha I have ever seen. He has killed more than hundreds of vampires in a single battle without using much of his strength. I can’t understand why a warrior like him want to merge with them just for a pitiful reason?

“It is not just any regular vampire clan!” said father looking me in the eye with a serious expression on his face.

“What do you mean? Which clan is this?” I asked in confusion.

“Blood Diamond!” he replied looking me in the eye and I saw something I have never seen before, I saw fear in his eyes.

“WHAT?”

Their clan name alone was enough to drain the blood from my face.

“Blood Diamond as in Blood Diamond clan lead by King Evandor Adino” shock was an understatement to describe my emotions right now, my mind was literally blown away after hearing the dreadful news.

My already pale face turned ghostly pale the moment his name slipped from my own mouth, it was the King Evandor Adino, the killing machine of vampire world. I don’t think there is a single werewolf pack in the entire f*cking planet who doesn’t know about him! Not only werewolves, the entire supernatural community knows him by name and no one wishes to cross path with him at any cost!

Especially after his last war against Midnight Walker pack. He annihilated the biggest werewolf pack like he was swatting a fly. He killed over thousands of werewolves in a single battle all by himself.

Why is that deadly beast coming to our town? The beast has been living for over thousands of years, then why did he decided to bless this town with the pleasure of his visit when I am going to be the next in line?

I just wanted to live a normal life. Is it that big of a dream to ask for?

 “I hope now you can understand, why it was so necessary for us to take that decision. We must protect each other” said father in a concerned voice while keeping his hand on my shoulders.

Now, I feel like it is the most thoughtful decision my parents had ever taken to protect our clan! Our rivalry is nothing compared to the unknown hatred that King Evandor Adino holds against werewolves.

“I know. I am really sorry Mom and dad. I will never ever question your decisions from now on” I said emotionally.

People say this ruthless Vampire King first attacks the Alpha of the pack then his family and lastly, he cleanses the whole pack from its existence.

“Oh, my baby! Thanks for being so understanding! I know it is really difficult for you but I need you to cooperate with them. I need you to keep peace with Moonshine and unite both the packs with Luke. He is really a nice kid. He said he will do everything which is necessary to protect both of our pack” said Mother in a polite tone while stroking my hair.

Hearing his name was boiling my blood again but I controlled myself. I need to do this. I need to do this for my pack. My pack is my family. I have to support them when they need me the most.

“Are we going to join them or are they coming here?” I asked to change the topic from the vampire king because it was scaring the hell out of me.

I really don’t want to go there. It will hurt my pride even more if I have to leave my pack house. MY HOME!

“They are coming here. They agreed that our Pack house is in the safest location between the mountain. We will take care of the arrangements. You should be ready to greet them and make them feel home, okay? Will you do that for us?” asked my father in a sweet tone.

‘That’s the most reasonable decision Alpha of Moonshine has ever taken!’ I thought with an internal smirk.

“Yes, I will do anything for you” I replied confidently.

Satisfied by my answer my parents left to continue with the arrangements, leaving a hyena with me.

“My hot future Alpha is coming! Be ready to make him feel home”
