“Can you calm down and let me talk?” Kellan’s voice trembled with restraint. “I don’t understand where all this is coming from and I’m so confused. Why would you even think I don’t care about you? I do! I’ve shown that again and again and I’ll continue to.”

I let out a bitter laugh and shook my head. “You know what? Let me break it down for you so you can understand, I’ll ask you some questions, and I want real answers. If you’re thinking of lying to me, you better don’t because I swear, I won’t believe another word that comes out of your mouth.”

I took a breath, steadying my voice. “You didn’t come to see me at all yesterday. Why?”

“I told you that I had beta duties,” he replied quickly. “Lucian sent me to the neighboring pack. I didn’t return until this morning.”

“Oh? So you were around this morning?” I raised a brow as the rain around us began to slow to a soft drizzle.

“Yes, I was. I had to report back to Lucian, give him feedback on everything I did. That’s the routine. Whenever

Three months later…I was having the best time of my life. It felt like a dream I never wanted to wake up from. Kellan and I were together every single day, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. We laughed more, smiled more, and just lived freely. There wasn’t a single place in the pack we weren’t spotted hand-in-hand. If someone didn’t know our story, they would easily think we were true mates, bonded by the Moon Goddess herself. That’s just how deep our connection had grown.Kellan had completely healed, and so had I. Not just my body, but my heart too. It was like all the pain from before slowly melted away, replaced by the warmth and safety I felt with him. He made everything easier. Every time I looked into his eyes, I saw how much he loved me, and he showed it in a million little ways every day. What surprised me the most was how he never once treated my pregnancy like it was something he had to just “accept.” No, he treated the baby like it was his. From day one, he s

I stood in front of the hospital room door, standing still for a few seconds. I had so many questions in my head to ask the doctor. Why did he take so long? Was something wrong? Did Kellan get worse while they were inside? I wanted to ask but I didn’t. Instead, I slowly pushed the door open and stepped in, my heart pounding like crazy.Kellan was half sitting up in bed, his back propped up by pillows. He looked pale and weak. His chest was wrapped in thick white bandages, but one side was already stained red. That was blood and it was a lot of it. His face was swollen, too, especially that one eye, but at least now he could open it.Just seeing him breathing and awakemade me lose it all over again. I didn’t even realize I was crying until I tasted the tears on my lips.Kellan looked at me and shook his head lightly. “You’re such a crybaby,” he said with a soft smile.Even when he was in pain, he could still tease me.He pushed himself off the bed slowly and stood up, walking toward

I kept walking back and forth in front of the pack hospital, my feet scraping against the floor as I moved. My chest was tight, and my hands wouldn’t stop shaking. I couldn’t calm down. No matter how many deep breaths I took, nothing helped.Kellan was inside and I wasn’t allowed to be with him because Lucian didn’t let me.When he found us in the woods, I thought everything would be fine. I thought we were finally safe but then I saw the way he looked at me. He was angry, really angry and I didn’t know why. Maybe it was because I had put Kellan in danger. That’s the only thing I could think of as the reason for his anger..He didn’t even speak much. He just took Kellan from me and told me to wait. I followed them into the hospital, but when we reached the room, he blocked the door.“You stay here,” he said, not even looking at me properly. Then he stepped inside and slammed the door.I tried the handle but It was locked. So now I am here, waiting, waiting and losing my mind.I rub

When I had Kaden’s neck in my jaw, I wanted to rip it off. Every part of me was screaming to end it and the reason why I stopped was because I thought of something better.Kaden was weak now. If we killed him, we would only bring more trouble to ourselves. His pack would come for him. They’d come for me, for you and the entire pack. There would be war, and no one would be safe but if I let him live, I could use that against him. I could threaten him.“What do you mean threaten him?” I asked, confused.Kellan didn’t answer right away. Instead, he tried to stand and I rushed to support him before he fell. He grunted in pain and stayed still for a moment, catching his breath. Then, slowly, he began walking toward Kaden.Kaden hurriedly tried to sit up as he saw us walking towards him. He was still bleeding and his eyes looked hollow. He was trying to act strong, but I could see how much pain he was in.Kellan knelt in front of him and he tried to hide his neck, his hand pressing over the

Kellan let go of Kaden’s neck. He released him and Kaden’s body hit the ground with a heavy thud. He groaned and scooted backwards, dragging himself away from Kellan’s wolf, just in case it wanted to attack him again.Blood dripped from the side of his neck, soaking his skin and staining the grass beneath him. His hand clutched his wound like he was trying to hold his own throat together. I could see the raw flesh and the deep cut across his veins and it was such a horrible sight. I felt satisfied to see him injured and in pain. His healing had already started but I could tell it would take time, a whole lot of time before his neck could be fully healed. His face was so pale and sweat rolled down his forehead as he leaned weakly against a tree, his face twisted in pain and agony. Kellan, now in his human form too, fell to his knees. His chest rose and fell slowly as he was struggling to breath. He looked completely weak and spent. I scrambled toward him quickly. “Kellan!”I threw

Kellan’s body hit the ground with a loud thud, and I screamed. Kaden had thrown him like a rag doll, and now he was struggling to move. His wolf form was bruised, bloodied, and it was barely able to lift its head.“Kellan!” I cried out, rushing forward to help him but before I could reach him, Kaden’s huge wolf stepped in front of me, blocking my path. He growled low and deep, his sharp teeth showing as he warned me not to come any closer. His eyes were glowing with pure rage.“Get out of my way!” I shouted at him. “He’s hurt!”But the wolf didn’t move. Instead, it stepped closer, snarling louder at me like I was nothing more than a prey but I didn’t care. I tried to move again, needing to get to Kellan, but Kaden’s wolf snapped. With a loud growl, it charged at me and before I could dodge, its huge body slammed into me, sending me flying backward. My back hit a tree hard, knocking the wind out of me. I cried out in pain and slumped to the ground, trying to stay conscious as dark spot
