Chapter 16

Vivian slowly made her way downstairs, her footsteps echoing through the quiet house. As she descended the stairs, the aroma of something delicious wafted into her nose, causing her stomach to growl in hunger. Curious, she followed the scent, which led her straight to the kitchen.

There, she found Anthony, standing by the stove, deeply engrossed in the activity surrounding him. Pots and pans clinked against each other, and the sizzle of something frying filled the air. Vivian's eyes widened as she took in the scene, realizing that Anthony was cooking up a storm.

"Anthony, what's all this?" she asked, her voice filled with surprise.

He turned his head, greeting her with a frown before going back to what he was cooking. "What does it look I'm doing to you?".

Vivian probably deserved that.

Two days had gone by, and Anthony hadn't spoken to her since she brought him from the hospital and spilled some juice on him. She'd already concluded in her that she was a little bit clumsy.
