The Strange Man

Selina alighted from the car, and walked into the premises. As she approached the building, she saw a man in a suit stepping out of the elevator. She tried to sidestep him, but they ended up bumping into each other. In that split second, Selina felt herself losing her balance, and was sure she would fall. But then, the man's hand shot out and caught her, steadying her on her feet. She looked up at him, and their eyes met for a moment. There was something in his eyes that made her feel safe, and she found herself relaxing in his grip.

But suddenly, something slipped into her mind as she saw the mark on his elbow. " Just in case you don't know me, I am Marley. I am not easily pierced by an object."

Selina's heart skipped a bit as she remembered those words, and she began to remove herself from his grip.

" Are you alright?" The man asked as he noticed her actions.

"Yes, I'm.... I'm fine." She stuttered and heaved a sigh, "Oh I'm so sorry for bumping into you, it's a mistake." she exclai
