The Man She Met

She woke up with a slight headache, and couldn't make sense of her environment. Selina sat up and glanced at the room, then it finally dawned on her that she's in a hospital.

She looked around to see if the man that brought her there was around, but unfortunately; he wasn't. Just when she's about to get up, a nurse walked in and administered it to her.

" Good morning, Miss." She greeted and Selina widened her eyes. She couldn't believe that it's another day, and she wondered how long she'd been lying there. Suddenly, Mr Lucas walked in, both hands in his pocket.

" Good morning Sir!" Greeted the nurse.

" Thank you, how is she?" He asked.

" She's okay now, I have to report to the Doctor. Please excuse me." With that, the nurse walked away.

Selina averted her gaze quickly when he finally turned to her. She rubbed her hands together, and put her lips into her mouth.

" Good morning. How are you feeling?" Mr Lucas asked and sat beside her on the bed.

" I'm fine, thank you." She replied.
