I float in a void of nothingness, my consciousness, a thing of the past as I'm sucked into a memory. "Callie" someone screams, slamming my bedroom door open. I've lived 20 years of my life sheltered, and protected from a lot of things.I thought I'd experienced pain before but this awful harrowing feeling in my chest threatens to overwhelm me.
