The packhouse was more quiet than usual. Most wolves were in their rooms while others were on patrol, so the halls felt strangely empty. But I liked the quiet anyway.

My footsteps echoed off the polished floor as I made my way toward the exit.

I didn't go to work today, and I was bored out of my mind… maybe bored isn't the word. I just couldn't stop thinking about him—about Oliver walking in on us, and the dinner the other night.

I sighed deeply. There’s something really wrong with me.

I tugged my hoodie closer, shoving my hands into the pockets. Underneath, I only had a thin bottom shirt—the kind that barely kept out the cold. My hair was a bit messy from running my hands through it all day, but I really couldn’t care less.

As I reached the doorway, I heard the sound of an engine outside. It was deep, smooth, and powerful. I quickly walked out the door.

And there he was—

Nicholai.

Leaning casually on a black motorbike like a damn movie star. He wasn’t dressed like Nathan, who

NicholaiIt was the middle of the night when her soft whimpers woke me up.At first, I thought it was my imagination. The sound was quiet, barely escaping her lips, but then it came again, sharper this time. I turned towards her, and my chest instantly tightened.Kaima’s body was trembling, her forehead covered in sweat, her fists clenched on the sheets like she was trying to hold back something that was pulling her away. She was having a nightmare. “Kaima,” I whispered, brushing a strand of wet hair from her face. “Hey… wake up.”Her head jerked slightly, her lips moving as if she was pleading in her sleep. “Don’t… please don’t go…”I sat up instantly, my hand cupping her face. “Kaima, wake up.”Her eyes shot open, and she screamed. Before I got the chance to react, she was already in my arms, clutching my shirt so tightly it almost ripped. Her entire body was shaking, her heart racing so fast I thought it was going to break free from her chest.“Kaima,” I said softly, wrapping my ar

KaimaThe office was quiet, and it felt too unfamiliar, but I had to get used to it because I couldn’t stay in the same space as Nathan. I just couldn’t.I tried to focus on the heap of documents in front of me, but everything just seemed to blur together. My pen slipped from my fingers for the fifth time. Then I heard the knock.I didn’t stand to go check it because I already knew who it was. I felt him, my heart racing.Slowly, the door was pushed open, and he stepped in.“Nathan,” I whispered under my breath.“What are you doing here?” he asked in a low voice, looking around the office I was in.“Well, Agnes didn’t come to work today, so I decided to stay here for the day,” I said casually, burying my head in the files in front of me, refusing to meet his gaze.“Kaima,” he finally said after a minute of awkward silence. “Can we talk, please?” His tone was soft.I closed the file slowly and stood, refusing to meet his eyes. “We have nothing to talk about, Alpha Nathan,” I said, forc

NathanSomething inside me didn't feel right. It hit me so suddenly, so violently, that I actually stumbled forward and had to catch myself against the wall. "What the hell?" The words came out strangled, confused, because I didn't understand what was happening to me. I was startled, restless anger spreading through me like poison. I didn't understand what was happening, not at first only that something had changed, something about her.KaimaShe wasn't even here, wasn't anywhere near me, but I felt it.The invisible thread that had connected us from the moment she stepped into my territory was vibrating, pulsing with something wrong. Something that made my wolf snarl and snap inside my chest. Her scent wasn't the same.I froze, my entire body going rigid, feeling the burn spread through my chest like wildfire. Zade was clawing his way to the surface, tearing at my control with vicious desperation. I could feel him pushing against my skin, trying to break free. "Stop," I said through

  • Under Her Spell: Saving The Alpha    Chapter 77: Morning After

NicholaiI woke up before her, and the first thing I did was turn my head to look at her. The sunlight was coming through the window, soft and golden, landing right across her face. She was still asleep, her hair all messy and spread out on the pillow, her breathing so quiet and steady. Goddess, she looked beautiful. Not the kind of beauty you see and forget about, but the kind that makes your chest feel too tight and your heart beat differently. Just looking at her like that brought a strong sense of peace to me,I couldn't stop staring at her, and I didn't even want to. There was something about watching her sleep that made everything else disappear. All the noise, all the chaos, all my stupid insecurities—they just vanished when I looked at her. She made me feel like maybe, just maybe, I deserved something good in my life.My gaze drifted just a little, then I saw it, red streaks. My heart skipped a beat, and for a second, I couldn't breathe. It took me a moment to understand. I

KaimaHe didn’t give me the chance to speak when he said my name in the most maddening way ever. One moment I was in his arms, the next my back hit the mattress with a soft thud. The sounds of our hearts beating filled the room.Nicholai's eyes darkened with desire as they roamed over me, and I felt exposed even though I was still fully clothed. There was something different in his gaze—something possessive and hungry that made my stomach flip.He climbed over me slowly, like a predator stalking his prey. His hands went to my shirt, and he started unbuttoning it with agonizing slowness. Each button he undid exposed more of my skin to the cool air and his heated stare."Nick..." I pleaded, but I didn't know what I was asking for.He didn't answer. Just pushed my shirt off my shoulders and stared at my lacy bra for a moment before his fingers traced the edges. The touch was feather-light, teasing, and it made me shiver. He lingered there, circling the lace with his fingertips, barely gr

KaimaThe sound echoed through me, and I just stood there, frozen, my hand still raised from reaching for him. There was a pain in my chest I'd never felt before, sharp and crushing, like something vital had just been ripped out.I didn’t realize I was crying until a tear hit the floor at my feet.“Nicholai…” I whispered, my voice barely there, my vision already blurring as more tears came.It wasn’t even up to a minute before he opened the door again.“Nicholai,” I breathed, my voice crackling, pleading. He stood there, just looking at me, and I could see the war happening inside him written all over his face. His shoulders were tense, rigid. His fists were clenched so tight at his sides his knuckles had gone white, like he was fighting himself. His eyes, that always held warmth for me, were now cold—filled with anger and jealousy and a hurt so deep it made my chest ache just looking at him.“Please, Nick,” I said in between sobs, my chest heaving. “Just let me explain. I'm begging y
