I didn’t want to do this.

For once in my life, everything was actually good. Kaima and I were slowly starting to figure things out. I liked seeing her smile. I liked cooking for her, making her happy, and she didn’t hate me anymore. I didn’t want to lose that, not to this, not to the darkness I’ve spent so long keeping under control.
