Weird things have been happening lately. Marianna was a lot more friendly. I couldn't believe it when she gifted me several books to read whenever I got bored. Even more shocking was when she brought me very expensive skincare brands after complaining that my skin appeared too dull which was probably attributed to the early phase of pregnancy. It was as though she was always waiting to get me whatever I wanted.

The morning sickness was no joke, I vomited anything that touched my mouth. Most of the time, I ended up with a fever and severe headache.

Perhaps this was the reason Nikolas took mercy upon me, I was no longer confined to the mansion, I was allowed to be outside for how ever long I wanted. Most relieving of all was that he'd never tried to touch me, he no longed appeared harsh all of the time whenever he spoke to me.

I always wondered why the sudden change of attitude. Was it only due to my pregnancy? To make his unborn child comfortable? I didn't know why
