2| On The Way To New York

"Dad, I've got a question to ask you, a question I supposed to have asked you earlier like yesterday," Nick told his father as they were loading their stuff and luggage into the car.

"What question son?" Mr Phillip queried.

"Where are we moving to?"

"Uh oh! Sorry, didn't announce that earlier, we are actually moving to New York City," his dad answered.

"Wow! But dad, yesterday, did you actually travel to New York to get things ready?" Nick asked confused.

"Oh Nick, don't be silly, how can I go to New York City in a day and come back all the way here that same day?" His dad paused to shut close the trunk of the car, "I actually saw the house when I went for my business trip last week, I liked the house and it looked so beautiful and slightly spooky in a gorgeous manner because of the paint and cobwebs 'cos the house has been vacant for a long while now... I guess, " he stopped once again to collect Chloe's luggage from her, "So I decided to take the house, sounds cool right? I bet you'll love it!"

"Dad what are you guys talkin' 'bout? Huh! I've been standing her unnoticed." Chloe interrupted, then I knew she was angry because she wasn't part of the conversation.

"Oh Chloe! Didn't notice you, sorry, go tell your mom that everything's all set up and we are... good to go! " Mr. Phillips tells Chloe.

"Yay!" Chloe said rushing up the stairs like a maniac, oh boy! Did she almost miss her step.

"Be careful Chloe 'cos if you get injured, we'll leave you behind." her dad said.

"Ok! Na na na na na na, we a-are mo-oving." Chloe sang still rushing up the stairs.

"God! She's so stubborn, but anyway, I don't blame her, that's the way a six year old behaves when excited," Nick said laughing.

The whole family sang on their way to the airport.

After a few hours, they reached the airport.

Their dad got some snacks from some nearby stalls.

He bought some pizza and dried chicken flakes and nachos from 'Dave's Bakes 'N Fries' and twenty cans of soda from 'De-Rite-Ful Choice'.

They ate some and kept the leftovers for another time.

"The 11 o'clock flight has commenced. Those wishing to get to New York City and Cincinnati, Ohio should kindly move over and get into door 'C' immediately, in other not to miss the flight." A booming female voice suddenly came out from the numerous speakers with different sizes hanging around the waiting room.

"Guess its time to go!" Mr Phillip announced merrily.

"Yes hon! You're right!!! " Nick's mother followed cheering.

When they were passing through the hallway in door 'C', Chloe became scared, "Mom! I'm scared," she cried out.

"Don't be scared honey, everything's gonna be alright her mom tried to soothe her and rubbed Chloe's head. "What if the plane crashes?!What if we fall?! What if we di-?! ", "Hey! Keep shut unless you want me to spank you, " her father said angrily. "Sniff.... "Chloe sobbed.

They finally got into the plane after a long walk in the chilly hallway.

"The plane is about to take off, put on your seat belts, in 5...4...3...2...1"...'Vroom' it went at a very high speed and gradually rose into the air.
