Chapter 9

Saturdays back home were always the highlight of my week. I would return home for the weekend and enjoy my mother's delicious homemade meals. However, things were different at Wyvern. It was Saturday, and instead of enjoying a day off, I found myself working. The weight of this made me feel like crying, but I held onto the hope that it was a half-work day. It was already 2 p.m., leaving me with just one more hour of work.

Once I finished my tasks, I was stressed. Deciding to release this tension, I opted for a relaxing bath. Afterward, I headed to the kitchen to prepare a meal for myself while engaging in a phone conversation with my mom.

With my plate of food in hand, I made my way to the dining table. Eating alone felt somehow lonely, as I was already used to eating with Damian, but he was not home.
