James and Doneld went back to their office and pulled out everything they could find on Carella Mink. Most of her file just says that she has been in the flower buisness for about six years, that she has a son of age 6 called Brian Mink, that her husband died a couple of years back but that was it. There was no more data on Carella Mink before seven years back. And that rose some suspision in both the agents eyes.
Doneld still can't shack the fact that he knows her somewhere. He kept staring at her picture that was displayed on his monetor.Doneld and James seemed to be lost. James is almost convinced that Carella is behind all of this and that she is some how related to the Kazel case. And Doneld hasn't said a word as he kept looking at her photo as he moves his head from side to side. "I am almost positive i know her." Doneld commented to his partner that was sitting next to him. After a few minutes though, all his questions were answered as one of the agents walked up to him and asked. "Hey, why do you have Carella Jones on your screen?"Doneld looked at him confused "That is not her last name. It's Carella Mink."The agent shacks his head in disagreement "Nope. I don't know about any Jones, but that is Carella Mink. The blind greatest hostage negotiator there ever was until they day of the explosion. After that she desapeared. No one knows what happened to her after she met Kanzel but one thing is for sure...she was never seen again."James and Doneld looked at eachother in disbelife. How is it possible."So she is blind..." James commented as he remembered that she never made a movement to take the list out of his hand. At first he thought it was arrognace but now he knew that she didn't see him. She couldn't see him. "Dear God. That makes so much sence. Carella was the last person that has ever met Kazel untill he completely vanished. That means she knows who he is..." Doneld commented. "Ya but she is blind. Her being the last person to see him doesn't make much of a difference. She still doesn't know who he is." Said James. But after a long silence he continued "why didn't he kill her? I mean after the explosion that almost killed him, why did he spare her life? Unless...." before he could finish, Donled continued "unless she is working with him. And maybe the explosion was just a way to divert any attention from their relationship. I mean think about it, what are the odds of both of them disapearing for seven years after that explosion that was out of nowhere."They looked at eachother like they have solved the entire case. The agent that was still listening to them commented "but even if what you say makes sence, how are u going to prove it.""We need a search warrent. If she really does grow and sell her own flowers we can find more drugs in those pots."Carella is sitting in the living room as her son Brian sits on her lap and tells her about his day. He was talking non stop, braging about his friends to her and Mark Lift-carellas trusted assistant- when they suddenly heard a loud pound on the door. The fence bells never rang so whom ever it was had another thing coming.
Brian hops off of her lap and grabs a chunk of her red sun dress with his hands and hides behind her legs. Mark immideately stood to his feets and leaped across the room as Marria-the trusted maid who is also his mother- opened the door.James said no word but flashes his bage and the search warrent and gestered the rest of his team to the door to flip the house upside down. None of them waited to hear a word from the maid or the man in a black suit.Carella slowly found her way out to the door and stood still as she hears running foots on her floor and scater through all the rooms. She can hear her stuff getting fliped, her flower pots getting broken but most of all, her son crying as he watched."Marria" carella called out to the old woman " please take my son to his room and keep him company."Marria walked up to her, bend to her knees and pulled him away from his mother. Brian screamed and kicked as he kept pulling at her sun dress. Carella kneeled and hugged her son and whispered something in his ears. He immideately stopped crying and smiled at her. She knows that her son would be smiling so she smiled at his direction. He gave a strong kiss on her cheek and followed Marria to his room.James approched her "the key to your garden." He demmanded. Still in her sun glasses she just stood there with no words. She knows that if she gives them her keys they would ruin her garden but then again if she refuses, they will break their way in."Mark" she called out and he gave James the keys to her giant garden.James took the key and opened it. When they walked in, his eyes wide with awe. It was a magical garden, filled with different coloured flowers big and small. It was a treat to the eyes and a healer to the soul. He almost felt bad for what his team is about to do to this holy place. But then again he remembered that it was a step to taking down Kanzel and his goons. So he gestured to his team once again and they start to break and toss any pot flower that was vissible to the eyes....They couldn't believe it. There was nothing, not even a single drop of drugs in the flower pots. They distroyed her entire garden, hoping to finally catch Kanzel. But all they accomplished was to break every thing in her garden.James and Doneld sent the rest of their team away and asked the maid to take them to carella.Carella was sitting on her arm chair sipping tea through a beautiful golden cup. She still wore her sun glasses which now makes sence to both the agents as she was blind. When she heard foot steps coming to her direction, she pulled up her tea cup for Mark to place it down on the coffee table. When they finally reached the living room, Mark gestured with his hand for them to sit as far as possible from Carella. The room broke in silence. James and Doneld looked around to the result of their investigation. The once beautiful and sparkly living room was covered with soil that was spilled out of the
James was beyond annoyed. He sat at his desk next to his partner and looked at the closed file of carella Mink- Carella Jones- on his desk. How could everything be clean. Maybe someone tiped her off. Maybe she had everything cleaned before they went to her house.James couldn't let go of the fact that she bothered him too much. He had always been the one to listen to his guts. And his guts has never been wrong. But this time, it's as if, that gut feeling doesn't quite know what to process.Doneld on the other hand seemed to think that Carella was not guilty but that doesn't mean she was not connected some how.As he was roaming the files he could find on the so called best hostage negotiator, he came across a paper. It was her birth certificate. Finally. He thought to himself. It was impossible to find anything on Carella Jones. All there was publicaly was few articles that were written seven years ago. Most of the magezines at that time
"It's going to be okay. They will never know." Mark kept assuring Carella that the agent or anyone for that matter will never find out about her secret.Carella had once again asked him if the agent would find out and every time she did, mark would tell her that they couldn't know. But the more she thought about it, the tighter her chest gets. But it seems like Carella was not the only one who was loseing sleep. James had been laying awake almost every night, unable to get that woman out of his head.Carella Jones...he thought to himself 'why do you bother me so much?'He wanted to prove her guilty. But every time he thinks about her being apart of Kanzel's crew, he feels sick. And the need to prove her innocent grows every minute.James has never had this kind of reaction towards a criminal, If she is a criminal. And that some how upsets him. He has never met someone harder to read than Carella and the need to break down
Carella decided to go out with Maria to get more pots for her flowers and new seeds to grow because the agents destroied hers. But because of the feer of being recognized, she barely makes it out of her car.So while Mark and her waited in the car, Maria would go in to buy the kind of pots Carella likes.Carella leans her head against the car seat and sighs heavy. Her lips were pressed tightly against eachother. Her mind rides back to Kalven. Her late husband who was taken from her by a drunk driver. How unluck her life has been.Everytime she finds a way to be happy, the univers takes it from her.She doesn't allow herself to think of him though. Because it made her feel like her scars are being cut open in to a fresher wounds, making her bleed until she feels light headed. How much she misses him. A smile ghosts her lips as she remembers him. The man that playfuly warmed her stiff and cold self. The man who loved her nomatter what. The man who never judged her
" well, well, well,...look who we have here...The moment Agent James Walker said the name Kanzel, Carella was swollowed in to ger memory. She barely heard a word after the name was mentioned in the interogation room. All she heard was the cruel voice of that drug lord she met seven years ago."Mrs. Mink..."They called out her name but she didn't answer.Instead, she sat there and remenesed about that faithful day where she had lost her job, her faith and her confidence in her abilities. The way he took her glassess off, the roughness of his hand when her touched her right arm to return the glass...she was scared and rightfuly so.But that was not all she felt. She remembers correctly feeling like she had met him before. Like a distant memory that she can't quite reach.Maybe it was because she had met many powerful drug lords during her time as a hostage negotiator, but for a very long time, she was unable to forget that sence of famil
Carella tried to control her breath that was coming out very shallow. The folded white cane drops from her hands as she placed one on her chest and the other at the back of the front seat to help herself sit up.She was shaking terriblly and she feared she would never calm down. The feeling was intence. Tears where streaming down her cheeks and her sweat made the bridge of her nose very uncomfortable, so she removed the glasses her trew them on the other side of the seat. Her hands back on her chest, she sobbed like there was no yesterday and there will be no tomorrow. She felt so scared. She closed her eyes shut to prevent the memory of the explosion. It had left her with a truman she didn't dare tell anyone other than her late husband. Not even Mark. But today, he saw her at her lowest.Mark was flustered by the situation. He has never once seen his madam break down like this infront of him. If she wanted to cry and let her fears get the best of her,
James and Doneld are at loss. Carellas' sudden change in attitude and emotion has left them to ponder silently. What is her relationship with Kanzel? It felt like that would be an answer that is going to be kept in the dark for a very long time, if not for ever.James is more than intreged with her reaction. He frowned to himself thinking about her stiff shoulders and trembling figure as Kanzels' name was mentioned.Carella Jones. Carella Mink.Which ever one she truly was, James wanted to know all about her. He will do all in his power to strip her of all her hard shells and see her as she truly is. Only time will tell.James and Doneld sat in their office looking more into her file. They have been going over every single one of them over and over again, wishing that they wouod see something that they missed the one before. But, there was nothing that caught their attention.Doneld pick up one of the black an white picture that his buddy took
From the smell of the mans' breath, Carella was sure that he was drunk off his ass. And his desperation to get out of this situation was so high that he let the young Carella go outside to negotiate for him.It was after she reached the police car that she learnt that the man had held a woman, her three childern and a hostage negotiator hostage. He might be drunk but he wasn't stupid. He didn't let anyone get out of the house after seeing who he was. And since Carella was blind, he had hoped that she would get his words out.Tell 'um pigs that if they don't get me a free pass out of here, all this people will be catching a bollet. And this time, it won't be on the leg.His words ecoed in her head as she spoke to the police men incharge. She told them his demands. An un-tracable car and as the man said monye to swim in.Letting the man go was a huge risk, but saving the people in that house was their main priority.Carella was scared for Sophi
