"Carella Mink."
As soon as they got the name of Robel Petros' supplier, James and Doneld got her address and rushed over to her place. When they reached their destination they were amazed. The house was not just big but also beautiful. From the special curve like gate to the front door and the green garden that surrounded the mansion was mind blowing. They collected their jaws and walked to the gate to ring the bell. A womans voice answered their call and asked them who they are and what their business was. After they told the lady through the speaker that they were DEA Agents and that they had a couple of questions for Carella Mink, it became quite. They stood there for a while and decided to ring the bell one more time. This time it was not a lady in a speaker that greeted them but a man in a suit from the front door. The man in the black suit opened the front gates, "Follow me please detectives." he said in a commanding tone."We're not detectives, we are Agents!" said Doneld hoping to light up the stiff man infront of them. But the man in the black suit replied with no words or change on his face and instantly walked away ignoring any other conversation they might start. The two looked at eachother and followed the man into the house. The inside was just as amazing as the outside. As they follow the man, they were accepeted by a woman wearing a pair of sun glasses. She was wearing a sleeveless black sun dress that falls on her lap and stoppes at her knee. She matched them with black high heels. Other that the sun glasses that covered her eyes, she wore no more accessaries.James assumed that she might be Carella Mink, the woman they came to talk to so he greeted her. "Good evening Ms. Mink." He said as he reached out his hands to shake hers. But Carella didn't even attempt to reach out as she stood silent beside the man in the suit. So James took back his hand and continued. "I'm Agent Walker, this is my partner Agent Crane. We had a couple of question we wanted to ask you... We were wondering if would give us a time?" He wanted to see her reaction to the sudden visit of DEA Agents. "Of course!" She answered at once with no other change of movememt on her face or her body. "You have a beautiful house!" Doneld commented "but it's too big for my liking!" He said as a joke. But immideately after his comment, both Carella and the man in the black suit turned their back to them and slowly walked away. Doneld leaned to James and whispered "tough crowd!" Then they followed them to the living room.Carella Mink gracefully sat at one of the couch and they sat across from her leaving the man in suit to stand behind her.As soon as they sat, Carella Mink offered them tea but they both refused. Seeing as the greeting was done Carella Mink finally spoke "so, how may i be a help for you gentlemen?" "It's about some of your flower distribution. How many clients do you have?" asked James. "They are quite many...I can show you the list if you wish to know them all." She answered and gave a signal with her hands to the man in the black suit without waiting for them to replie. The man in the black suit walked out and came back with a paper in his hands and immideately handed it to them. They took the list and started to scan it with their eyes on the spot. They quickly moved to the alphabet 'R' and looked for Robel Petro. They found it and looked at eachother. This time Doneld spoke "How close are you with your clients?" "As close as any distributer is with their clients. I produce and sell, they buy." She answered quick with a calm tone. "What about Robel Petro?" James asked. "Robel petro is my biggest client. He is the only one that buys in a very large amount." She answered with no hesitation." "Is it true that you grow your own flowers?" Doneld asked and she answered with a nod and a slight smile on her face. "And the flowers in pots?" asked James. Carella's smile disapeared from her face. They can't see her eyes because of the sun glasses but they can see her clenching her jaw. "May i ask what this is about?" She said it in a commanding tone. When Doneld was about to tell her, James bumped his knee to Doneld to stop him from talking.James stood up and Doneld follows "Thank you for your cooperation. We will be on our way." He walked a little close to her and raised his arm to give her the list but she didn't reach out to accept. Instead she sat there as if she was looking right through him. "You can keep the list." Said the man in the suit. James and Doneld looked at each other wondering how she could be both cold and inviting at the same time. James held the list with both his hands and thanked her again. "Mark will show you out." She told in a cold tone, one very different from the one she had when she was answering their questions before James asked about the pot flowers. James noticed that. Mark-the man in the black suit- said "This way!" then he walked out. They followed him and walked to their car."I feel like i have seen her before but i can't put my finger on it." Commented Doneld after they hopped into their car. "I don't know but i am sure she knows something. We need to look more into her." said James before starting the car and driving away. After their car was out of sight, Mark walked in and stood infront of Carella. "Should i look into it?" asked Mark breaking her out of her train of thought. "No! Don't get involved." She answered firmly remembering the day of the explosion seven years ago.James and Doneld went back to their office and pulled out everything they could find on Carella Mink. Most of her file just says that she has been in the flower buisness for about six years, that she has a son of age 6 called Brian Mink, that her husband died a couple of years back but that was it. There was no more data on Carella Mink before seven years back. And that rose some suspision in both the agents eyes.Doneld still can't shack the fact that he knows her somewhere. He kept staring at her picture that was displayed on his monetor.Doneld and James seemed to be lost. James is almost convinced that Carella is behind all of this and that she is some how related to the Kazel case. And Doneld hasn't said a word as he kept looking at her photo as he moves his head from side to side. "I am almost positive i know her." Doneld commented to his partner that was sitting next to him. After a few minutes though, all his questions were answered as one of the agents
They couldn't believe it. There was nothing, not even a single drop of drugs in the flower pots. They distroyed her entire garden, hoping to finally catch Kanzel. But all they accomplished was to break every thing in her garden.James and Doneld sent the rest of their team away and asked the maid to take them to carella.Carella was sitting on her arm chair sipping tea through a beautiful golden cup. She still wore her sun glasses which now makes sence to both the agents as she was blind. When she heard foot steps coming to her direction, she pulled up her tea cup for Mark to place it down on the coffee table. When they finally reached the living room, Mark gestured with his hand for them to sit as far as possible from Carella. The room broke in silence. James and Doneld looked around to the result of their investigation. The once beautiful and sparkly living room was covered with soil that was spilled out of the
James was beyond annoyed. He sat at his desk next to his partner and looked at the closed file of carella Mink- Carella Jones- on his desk. How could everything be clean. Maybe someone tiped her off. Maybe she had everything cleaned before they went to her house.James couldn't let go of the fact that she bothered him too much. He had always been the one to listen to his guts. And his guts has never been wrong. But this time, it's as if, that gut feeling doesn't quite know what to process.Doneld on the other hand seemed to think that Carella was not guilty but that doesn't mean she was not connected some how.As he was roaming the files he could find on the so called best hostage negotiator, he came across a paper. It was her birth certificate. Finally. He thought to himself. It was impossible to find anything on Carella Jones. All there was publicaly was few articles that were written seven years ago. Most of the magezines at that time
"It's going to be okay. They will never know." Mark kept assuring Carella that the agent or anyone for that matter will never find out about her secret.Carella had once again asked him if the agent would find out and every time she did, mark would tell her that they couldn't know. But the more she thought about it, the tighter her chest gets. But it seems like Carella was not the only one who was loseing sleep. James had been laying awake almost every night, unable to get that woman out of his head.Carella Jones...he thought to himself 'why do you bother me so much?'He wanted to prove her guilty. But every time he thinks about her being apart of Kanzel's crew, he feels sick. And the need to prove her innocent grows every minute.James has never had this kind of reaction towards a criminal, If she is a criminal. And that some how upsets him. He has never met someone harder to read than Carella and the need to break down
Carella decided to go out with Maria to get more pots for her flowers and new seeds to grow because the agents destroied hers. But because of the feer of being recognized, she barely makes it out of her car.So while Mark and her waited in the car, Maria would go in to buy the kind of pots Carella likes.Carella leans her head against the car seat and sighs heavy. Her lips were pressed tightly against eachother. Her mind rides back to Kalven. Her late husband who was taken from her by a drunk driver. How unluck her life has been.Everytime she finds a way to be happy, the univers takes it from her.She doesn't allow herself to think of him though. Because it made her feel like her scars are being cut open in to a fresher wounds, making her bleed until she feels light headed. How much she misses him. A smile ghosts her lips as she remembers him. The man that playfuly warmed her stiff and cold self. The man who loved her nomatter what. The man who never judged her
" well, well, well,...look who we have here...The moment Agent James Walker said the name Kanzel, Carella was swollowed in to ger memory. She barely heard a word after the name was mentioned in the interogation room. All she heard was the cruel voice of that drug lord she met seven years ago."Mrs. Mink..."They called out her name but she didn't answer.Instead, she sat there and remenesed about that faithful day where she had lost her job, her faith and her confidence in her abilities. The way he took her glassess off, the roughness of his hand when her touched her right arm to return the glass...she was scared and rightfuly so.But that was not all she felt. She remembers correctly feeling like she had met him before. Like a distant memory that she can't quite reach.Maybe it was because she had met many powerful drug lords during her time as a hostage negotiator, but for a very long time, she was unable to forget that sence of famil
Carella tried to control her breath that was coming out very shallow. The folded white cane drops from her hands as she placed one on her chest and the other at the back of the front seat to help herself sit up.She was shaking terriblly and she feared she would never calm down. The feeling was intence. Tears where streaming down her cheeks and her sweat made the bridge of her nose very uncomfortable, so she removed the glasses her trew them on the other side of the seat. Her hands back on her chest, she sobbed like there was no yesterday and there will be no tomorrow. She felt so scared. She closed her eyes shut to prevent the memory of the explosion. It had left her with a truman she didn't dare tell anyone other than her late husband. Not even Mark. But today, he saw her at her lowest.Mark was flustered by the situation. He has never once seen his madam break down like this infront of him. If she wanted to cry and let her fears get the best of her,
James and Doneld are at loss. Carellas' sudden change in attitude and emotion has left them to ponder silently. What is her relationship with Kanzel? It felt like that would be an answer that is going to be kept in the dark for a very long time, if not for ever.James is more than intreged with her reaction. He frowned to himself thinking about her stiff shoulders and trembling figure as Kanzels' name was mentioned.Carella Jones. Carella Mink.Which ever one she truly was, James wanted to know all about her. He will do all in his power to strip her of all her hard shells and see her as she truly is. Only time will tell.James and Doneld sat in their office looking more into her file. They have been going over every single one of them over and over again, wishing that they wouod see something that they missed the one before. But, there was nothing that caught their attention.Doneld pick up one of the black an white picture that his buddy took
