Jessica’s POV

It’s been three days since I came back to the condo. I needed space, space to breathe, to think, to piece myself back together. Until now, the day I asked Dad to let me return to the condo is still vivid in my mind.

My head was throbbing. My eyes were swollen from crying. I barely slept. No matter how much I wanted to rest, the questions in my head wouldn’t leave me alone. I was exhausted, not just physically, but more so emotionally.

I reached the point where I asked myself if I even mattered. Was I just an extra in someone else’s movie? A supporting character in my own story? What’s the point of me?
