CHAPTER SIXTY ONE - POISONED

"No!" I scream, my voice coming out weaker than usual as I try to hit him on his chest to hurt him, but my arms are too weak. But I don't give up. I still try. I try to kick his shin to make him lose his balance.

But soon my body starts giving away and blackness starts to come into my eyes. I blink through the blurriness, trying to get my vision back but nothing helps, and the last thing I remember before passing out is the evil, cunning grin on his face.

My eyes open and a long breath leaves my throat as I hear the door slam open. Shifting my gaze toward the entrance, I notice the outline of a familiar body making its way toward me. I blink several times, trying to focus but it isn't possible. Eveything is just making my eyes hazy.

I feel a sudden pressure on my neck and a sharp scream leaves my throat as I am pulled up by my collar, and onto my feet. I sway on my feet, barely managing to stand straight when my back is slammed into a wall with a very brutal force.
