AVA’s POV

I could not help but laugh at Elijah's reaction to going through my portal. After visiting with his pack he told me that it was time to head back to the mortal world.

“That does not feel right at all.” He said. He looked a little green around the ears.

“I told you that it's not for everyone. It took me years to get use to transportation like that. And I was nine.”

“Yeah,” Elijah said with a huff. “I have been using the portals since I was sixteen and training with the Harbingers, kitten.”

“And yet…you look like you are going to upchuck at any moment.” I said. I tried to hide my laughter but he wiggled his nose at me and shooed me away from the bags.

“I’ll get these you go ahead and rest. There is a lot to do in the upcoming days and you do not need to wear yourself down.” He said, hoisting the bags in each hand. He flipped both bags using his hands and one by one each of the bags where on his shoulders.
