30. Teenager

Mike received a call from the guard assigned to guard the warehouse. He also received news that all those guarding the warehouse were lying down. Mike's emotions and anger are currently unstoppable because someone is looking for a fight with him.

So far, no one has dared to touch him or come close to him, but this person has dared to disturb him.

Mike did not deliver the items directly. He ordered his confidant, and now he was at the warehouse.

Mike looked around, and nothing was missing. Not a single trunk was damaged. Only a few of his men were injured by the punches and kicks of the intruder.

"What did he take here?" Mike asked those who were still conscious.

"I don't know, sir; he just went around with ease and came back out. From what I saw, he didn't take anything." He explained.

Mike picked up the key to a room. He looked there to make sure it was safe. "What exactly are you looking for if you didn't take any of my stuff?" Mike said to himself.

Mike gave the key to one of his men, and he walked towards the CCTV room. Arriving at the CCTV room, Mike went berserk because, at that moment, the CCTV camera was turned off.

"This is your negligence; I told you not to turn off the camera." Mike hit a screen that showed the state of the warehouse.

All of them who were there had a hard time swallowing. I don't know how they were so careless that they missed.

"Forgive us, sir," begged one of them.

"Will you take responsibility for your negligence?" Mike looked at him with interest. Yes, he has an interest in messing with his subordinates.

The man could only gulp. He didn't dare make a move after hearing Mike's words. It was like there was already a signal in him: if he still wanted to live, then he should just keep quiet without making a scene.

"ANSWER ME," Mike said with a shout.

"So, sorry, sir. I didn't mean to be negligent. Please forgive me, sir. I still want to live and work with you." he stammered. His face was pale, and his hands were shaking with fear.

It wasn't just him who was scared. All of them who were there were afraid. They seemed to know that if Mike was angry, then one of them had to die. If no one sacrificed, then they would all die. But in a situation like this, who wants to be a hero?

Mike, who saw their faces, got even more upset and broke all the items there. For the first time, Mike held back his emotions toward people. He didn't want to be ruled by his emotions. After everything was destroyed, Mike left the warehouse and headed to the club to swim with Jasmine. Even though he couldn't talk to Jasmine for long, at least he needed someone to soothe his emotions.

*

A club full of flickering lights made the people who came dance on the dance floor. The sound of loud music and various types of alcoholic drinks were their companions for the night.

Getting drunk is normal for them. Especially for those with extra money, they will enjoy this night with the ladies and pay for their friends' drinks.

Tonight, the VIP room was rented out by some teenagers who were celebrating a tofu anniversary. That was why Jasmine was just sitting at the bar table. Sometimes she just monitored those who could be considered newly legal to drink.

"What did you see?" Anya asked Jasmine while carrying a man who had lost consciousness.

Jasmine pointed to the VIP room and took a sip of her drink. Tonight Jasmine was not in the mood for alcohol, so she just had a glass of iced lemon. The sour taste calms Jasmine down. The sour taste was exactly like Jasmine's current life, and drinking it was able to make Jasmine self-aware.

"Oh, the story is that you were watching them?" Anya teased Jasmine with a mischievous grin.

"Get lost! It looks like he's already drunk. I don't know how she'll enjoy your body if she's not sober," Jasmine said with a mocking laugh. Anya, who was annoyed, just hit Jasmine.

Anya's departure left Jasmine alone again. And her eyes were still on the VIP room, until one of them came out and approached Jasmine.

"What are you looking at?" he asked a little rudely.

Jasmine just smiled dismissively. Somehow she did not like the sight of the teenager currently beside her. Even a kid as small as her was already drinking wine.

"Would you like to join us?" His invitation was rejected by Jasmine with a shake.

"If you don't want to join, why are you watching us in the first place?" The teenager gave her a probing look.

"I just regret your attitude. Celebrating a party at a club instead of thinking about your future. You never know what will happen in the future. I used to be just like you, who liked to spend money, but look at me now. Just a prostitute working to serve men." Jasmine explained as she walked away from the teenager.

Confusion and question marks lingered in the teenager's mind. His eyes were still looking at Jasmine, who had joined the group of men, not forgetting that she was also carrying the glass that had been accompanying her.

"Excuse me, may I know what that lady ordered?" he asked the bartender.

"Which lady?"

The teenager pointed at Jasmine and was told that Jasmine did not order alcohol.

"Jasmine, she doesn't really like alcohol, and all she ordered was sour lemon water. If you want to try it, I will make it for you." The bartender offered the same drink.

"Why would she order such a drink?"

"Because her life has too many trials and it tastes sour," was what she said.

The bartender left the teenager still watching Jasmine from a distance. He was curious about Jasmine, and he wanted to get to know her better. He saw many surprising things about the woman named Jasmine.

"You are a unique girl. You work in a club, but you don't like alcohol. I hope we can meet again, and I'll prove that I'm not a teenager that you can underestimate."
