It's been a week since everything happened. Pocco was slowly recovering, he was already fine to walk by himself. Evangeline help him with his medication while Blake was busy in the museum, avoiding Evangeline. He was always waking up early in the morning and coming home late at night. Making sure there would be no reason for him to have any conversation with Evangeline.
It's already 11:00 at night, Blake got home and was surprised to see Veronica was there.
"Veronica?" he whispered, and Veronica walked closer to him and wrapped her hands around his neck and gave him a quick kiss.
He didn't see it coming so he got speechless, same with Pocco and Evangeline, who was sitting on the couch, quiet and surprised.
"I couldn't reach your phone and decided to visit you, babe. And I found out that you are busy these past few days. So, I just wait here with Evangeline and Pocco," she said.

Chapter 22"Goodnight," Blake said once again before he left the room. Veronica smiled and closed the door. The moment the door shut, tears flow through her face.
