Chapter 44- Fading

Claire just couldn't hold it anymore. She could feel her mouth opening slowly. She also felt as if her soul was being pulled out of her earthly body. What more could she do now? Her body has no strength. Without any ability to protect herself. She doesn't even have a memory. She didn't even know how to survive the impending danger. "Get off her!"

Jayden stopped sipping and let go of her. Claire seemed to be filled with hope when she heard the familiar voice of a woman. She was like a piece of paper falling on a cold concrete floor. From where she was, she could watch a woman wrestle with the soul sucker. Her figure is familiar. She recognized the woman by the occasional glimpse of her face during the fight. This is the astral body that was with Jacob in the parking area. This is the woman who tried to ask Jacob to leave while Jayden was attacking her.
