Laura looked right at Marcus eyes. She felt the butterflies in her stomach come alive. It felt like it had been years that she had felt that way. It was so fucking intense, and she wanted to feel that way for the rest of her life.

“Why were you scared?” Marcus asked softly.

She shrugged. “It’s nothing. I simply thought that someone was after me. Can we go into the room now?” She asked softly.

He nodded.

His hands touched the lower part of her back and he guided her to the room. She looked at him continuously, as she struggled not to look back. It almost felt like someone was watching her. She knew without being told who that person was.
