Marcus rolled on his side, hoping to grab Laura in bed, only for him to hit the floor with a thud. He gasped in shock, as he rose up from the floor in shock. What was that?

Marcus let his eyes skim through the length and breadth of the bed, but he didn’t see any figure that remotely looked like Laura, and that sort of made him upset.

Where could she had gone?

His hands slowly slid to the back of his head, and he massaged the growing migraine. He wanted to hold Laura tight, and kiss her lips sporadically, but that wasn’t happening.

Marcus groaned slightly as he made his way to his clothes, wearing them quickly. He had to find her, and give her that kiss. He walked out of the house, struck by how quiet the whole house was.

“Laura,” he called, but received no response.

Was she even at home? Of course, she was. Where else would she go this evening. He knew fully well that Laura wasn’t an outgoing person. She definitely liked to do things on her own, and didn’t like to go out much. It was
