SILVAN’S POV

The room smelled like sickness.

That sharp, metallic scent of medicine mixed with the cold damp air. My father’s chambers used to feel warm… strong… like him. But today they felt like a grave waiting for a body.

His body.

My father, the great Alpha Hadeon, the giant, the unshakable, lay half-alive, half-gone, his chest rising in tiny, weak breaths. His once-massive arms reduced to frail shadows of themselves. Tubes curled around him like vines choking a dying tree.
