The sound of wine dripping up to the tip of his cup was his sign for the servant to stop, the prince then gulps it in one go, emptying it in seconds.
Still naked on his chair, prince Alexander remained quiet as he brooded on the second time that he has failed, he could not understand where he went wrong as he tried to control himself in order to make sure that the maiden was not harmed, he knew she was still breathing before they slumbered but when he woke up the woman was no longer breathing, and like all his previous concubine it looked like they were completely dried up.
Infuriated by the mystery he raises his cup for it to be filled, making his two advisers move to intervene from the excessive drinking.

She had never expected to be in this predicament right now, she never knew that the man would move so fast. It was like he was watching a maiden dance to a natural rhythm while moving within the make-shift kitchen that they had made. Karilaya stood frozen when she realized where she was, so many things came playing inside her mind. Was she found out, do they know her, why exactly was she here, and for what reason? Those were the things that kept plaguing her mind when she was finally left within the confines of one of the royal guest rooms of the castle. Though the place seemed the same, several things had been removed such as their banner and a few others things that showed the Lushan heritage and replaced with western empires. Karilaya suddenly felt defeated right now, being caught halfway through it all, she could not understand how she ended up in that situation though she was so careful. She took a peek at the terrace, three guards were stationed just below all looked well trained and were fully armored, she then proceeded to move towards the door silently and carefully nudging the door’s knob, it clanked but did not open.
