I sat on the edge of the bed, my fingers tapping nervously against my thigh. I looked up at Felix, who was sitting across from me, his expression serious. He had just asked me if I was ready to try for another child, and I had agreed, but she couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled in my stomach.

It wasn't that I didn't want another child. In fact, I had been hoping for one for a long time. I loved our daughter so much, and I longed to give her a sibling.
