CHAPTER 35: I DON'T WANT TO DIE

Alice rarely feels exhausted. At least, it was rare that she admitted to herself that she was exhausted. She dropped her things on the bedside table and collapsed on the bed.

"Will I really die?" She asked the dumbest question she could ask while staring at the ceiling of her room. When she was younger, her mother placed glowing stars and a crescent moon in the ceilings of her room, hoping that it would help her not have any nightmares again, but it wasn’t really as simple as that.

It’s not like she wanted to die. Alice refuses to believe that anyone truly wanted to. Life just simply sucks most of the time, but that doesn’t mean that they wouldn’t have any regrets about dying in vain.

She was starting to lose hope. Alice thought she was prepared to face the vampire, that she was ready to fight, and that whether she lived or died was up to fate.
