Forgiveness

Alpha Ethan’s POV

“What is hard to do, just get fucking pregnant!” I yelled in frustration at her and saw tears well up in her eyes, causing a heavy sigh to leave my lips. With a groan, I turned to take my leave, but I couldn't. Instead, I turned and walked back to her, and without saying a word, I cupped her face and sealed my lips. I wasn't expecting her to respond, but she did, and melted in my arms.

In one swift move, I pulled her closer as my lips forcefully took possession of hers. I sucked and teased her lips, tongue, and every inch of her mouth like it was the best thing I had ever had.

I slid down the back zip on her dress, and the dress came undone as she stood almost naked before me with just her bra and pants, causing my dick to shift in my pants.

I went to her back and unhooked her bra before grabbing her breast and hungrily sucking it like a hungry lion. Her soft moan hardened my dick, and I couldn't hold back.

I pushed her to the bed and slowly started unbuttoning my shirt, with my eyes lustfully staring at her.

“Alpha, Alpha.” I heard Timothy, my beta's voice, and snapped out of my rumination.

With a frown, I stared at him and saw the pitiful gaze he had on his face.

“Are you okay? You seem lost in thought,” he spoke worriedly, and all I could do was release a heavy sigh and sit up in my seat.

“Is there a problem?” I asked, and he shook his head. “I just wanted to inform you that the private jet is ready, and your flight is scheduled at 3pm tomorrow,” he announced, and I nodded.

He stared at me for a moment and turned to leave, but I called him back. “Timothy?” I called, and he turned to me.

I hesitated for a moment before speaking. “Have you heard or seen her around?” I asked, and he furrowed his eyebrows.

“Zoey?” he asked, and I nodded.

Ever since she left the mansion five years ago, she has never shown herself around, not even her family has seen or heard from her. It feels like her existence was wiped out of the earth.

“I haven't seen or heard anything about her, but we can send our spies to look for her,” he suggested, but I shook my head. “I just wanted to know if she is still alive,” I grumbled and rested my head on the headrest of the seat.

Timothy remained silent for a moment before turning and leaving.

As he left, a heavy sigh left my lips as I closed my eyes and tiredly massaged my forehead. It's been five whole years, and I just couldn't get her out of my head.

Her touch, her shy smile, and also her betrayal always play in my head. Memories I shared with her keep buzzing in my head, and no matter how hard I try to take them off, I just couldn't.

I snapped out of my thoughts when the door to my office opened, and Timothy walked back in. “Anita is here,” he announced, and I furrowed my eyebrows with anger.

“What is she doing here…” Before I could finish my words, the door opened, and she walked in.

“What are you doing here?” I asked with anger and hate.

“Ethan…”

“Alpha Ethan!” I snapped with rage.

“I'm your alpha, and so you will only address me as Alpha Ethan,” I spoke angrily, also getting up on my feet.

“What are you doing here?” I asked and saw her fall to her knees.

“Please forgive me, I'm sorry…”

“Forgive you?” I scoffed, left the desk, and walked up to her.

“I should forgive you?” I asked, and she nodded with tears in her eyes, which irritated me even more.

“Did you know what you did to me?” I asked through gritted teeth. “Because of your betrayal, I went insane for two months. I was almost losing myself if not for the help of Adrian.” I yelled, and she sobbed loudly, staring at me with pleading eyes. “If I'm a beast today, it's all thanks to you, Anita. You turned me into this cold-hearted man, and here you are, asking that I forgive you?” I asked, and she gulped before opening her mouth to speak.

“Please forgive me, Alpha. I was stupid, and it was a mistake…"

“Mistake?” I asked, fuming with anger.

“You call having an affair with my cousin a mistake?” I asked with rage, “And when I caught you, instead of seeking forgiveness, you requested rejection.” I yelled and saw her flinch in fear. “You were my mate, Anita. I gave you everything, but what did you do? You broke my heart, cheated on me, and requested rejection.” I yelled. She crawled to me and held my knees.

“Please forgive me, Alpha. I didn't know what came over me.” She tried defending herself, but I groaned and pushed her away.

Anita stumbled back, tears streaming down her face as she hit the floor. She looked up at me with a pleading expression, her voice filled with desperation.

“I know I made a terrible mistake, Alpha Ethan. And I'm paying for it dearly. I never meant to hurt you, and I regret every moment of it. Please, I beg you for your forgiveness.”

“I will never forgive you, Anita. I will never do so.” I stated firmly and went back to my desk.

Without being told, Timothy walked to her and lifted her up from the floor and took her away.

With a groan, I took a deep breath and calmed my emotions before closing my eyes, trying to communicate with my wolf, who has been silent since Anita's betrayal and rejection.

After Anita rejected me, my wolf was in so much pain that he withdrew himself from me and stopped talking to me. At first, I knew it was because of the rejection, but I became worried when it passed six months, and he still wasn't communicating with me.

Worried and troubled, I met different seers, and they told me my wolf is still in pain and will speak to me when he was ready, but it's been five years now and not even a single word from him.

The door opened again, and Timothy walked in, informing me that I had a meeting with my lawmakers.

I stood to my feet and left my office. I walked past a few doors before arriving at the meeting hall. I got in, and the moment they noticed my presence, they lowered their heads respectfully while I nodded and took my seat.

“Have a seat,” I said, “And get straight to the point.” I urged and watched them remain silent for a moment before Chieftain Daren stood up.

“You are not getting any younger, Alpha. We think you should start producing offspring,” he said, while I scoffed with anger.

This was the exact words they told me five years ago.

“Don't see it in a bad way, Alpha. We are just worried about you and the throne. You know war might emerge at any time, and what if something happens to you? Then what will become of us and the pack?” Chieftain Daren explained while I remained silent.

“We understand that your mate…” he paused when he realized I wasn't happy hearing about my Anita. “Apologies, Alpha. What I mean to say is that you don't have to get married to any lady. All you have to do is take her in and make her your breeder,” he explained while I remained silent, remembering a certain person.

These were the same words they told me five years ago, giving me unnecessary pressure, but I won't let it happen again.

“Five years ago, you told us that you had a suitable lady to be your breeder, but ever since then, we haven't heard anything from you. We can find a suitable lady for you…” Chieftain Daren tried to speak, but I cut him off. “That won't be needed,” I said and got up. “You will hear from me soon," I said, and instead of walking back to my office, I teleported away.
