“You look great, Dad,” Jaya complimented me as I walked into the sitting room. “Thanks,” I said and placed a kiss on his forehead before taking the seat beside him. “I wish I was an adult; then I would have come with you too,” he said and pouted while I smiled. “Don't worry; we will take you along next time. Now it's just daddy and mommy time,” I said, and Jaya nodded as if he fully understood me.

“I get it, Dad. You are taking Mom out on a date,” he said, and I furrowed my brows, wondering where he got such words. “And for the record, Mom loves vanilla ice cream, so get her one,” he added, and I chuckled with disbelief before asking, “Where did you get such words from?” I asked, and he scoffed before rolling his eyes. “I'm a smart kid, Dad; I thought you knew this already,” he spoke proudly, and I smiled before wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling him to myself.
