Chapter 12: Fern’s Dad

The next day, I woke up so late that I found Sera nowhere to be found beside me. I was clueless about where she went. I can’t remember last night that she’ll go somewhere today. She didn’t bother waking me up either.

After washing my face and brushing my teeth, I planned to go to the living room and was also shocked that no one’s around. I didn’t bother to change my pajamas and get my slippers on and went to the terrace. The surroundings were clear and enveloped by fresh air. All that I could hear was the slapping of the winds into the trees making its leaves to fall, along with birds enjoying their freedom. There was a familiar smell which I can tell that someone is cooking but I don’t know where it came from.
