After Rafael left for work, Aurora stood for a long time at the window, watching Rafael's car drive away from the driveway. Her heart was still heavy, but she knew she couldn't keep putting it off. Her father's message from yesterday echoed in her mind, like a shackle that continued to bother her.

She took a deep breath, changed into more casual yet neat attire, then grabbed her bag and left the house. At the roadside, she ordered an online taxi and entered the address she had memorized well, though she had never actually visited it before.

The journey took nearly two hours. The once-crowded streets gave way to the quiet, potholed outskirts of the city. Luxury homes turned into rows of dilapidated buildings and dirt roads. Aurora stared out the window, her thoughts drifting to various past memories she didn't want to recall.
