Elliot could drink as much as he wanted and meet whoever he wanted.

Avery just needed to calm down for a moment and figure out her future direction.

"Let's not be like this, Avery." He frowned unhappily at her remark.

"Go and shower. If there's anything we need to talk about, we'll do it tomorrow." She did not want to have that conversation, since she was having a headache and he was drunk. He might have been a little sober at that moment, but his mind was almost certainly not lucid.

It was not like they could reach a conclusion if they went ahead with the conversation.

He sat beside the bed and did not answer her.

He wanted to talk to her but eventually decided against it when he saw that she had closed her eyes.

He drank too much that night, and his body was still under the influence of alcohol even though his mind was sober.

Avery and Elliott need to stop braking up. There is no need, the both need to stop having secrets and talk them through with each other, they do better if they work together on the problems. The other people would not be able to use them. She kept secrets.
