I got into the changing room to get ready for the race. Mia’s idea was a good one, I had to give her that, but I felt hesitant and worried towards it.

She wanted to prove whether the horseshoe was a lucky charm or not. I closed my eyes remembering what we talked about in the car trying to calm down and find logic in what she said.

“Trust me Kevin; it’s the only way to be sure. Just put the horseshoe on you during the race and we will see what will happen” she said as she held my hand in hers pressing it in assurance.

I looked into her curious eyes and said as i scratched the back of my head: “I don’t know Mia; I really think we should listen to Jack and keep away from it”

She sighed soundly putting her head down replying in a low tone: “I just don’t think that it’s dangerous at all. It literally saved us back in the car accident. Let us give it a try”
