Ch22. Awake

☆☆Kevin POV☆☆

I opened my eyes and saw Mia opening the door and stepping in. She was surprised beyond belief, like she saw a ghost, as if I was brought back from the dead. She dropped the cup from her hand and came running into my arms saying: “Kevin, you are awake”

She crushed me into a bear hug. I lost my senses for a moment and wrapped my hands around her tiny waist. Then, I heard her chuckle. I looked at her puzzled and confused. She looked up to me and I saw tears sparkling down her cheeks.

“Why was she crying?” I asked myself, and then she freed herself from my arms. She was blushing red. Why did she hug me? We never had this kind of friendship.

“I have to call your parents now,” she said and took out her phone and made a call a few feets away from me
