I stood there staring at his face for more than 15 minutes. Till, my legs got numb so, I sighed and sat down on the chair next to his bed again. 

I felt like I was memorizing his face as if I wouldn’t see him again. I shook the idea out of my head and enjoyed the view.

Minutes later, he stirred in his sleep. Then suddenly, he opened his eyes widely, pulling me out of my thoughts. I cleared my throat saying: “good morning” he turned his head to me and replied back: “good morning”

He stared at me for a few seconds, then turned his head around and asked: “where are mom and dad?”

I took a breath in and stood up to get him his medicine saying: “they went home to change. They will be back
