Ella's POV
I got down from the car and ran straight to my room. I slammed the door hard behind me and leaning my back on the door, I thought about the things told by Erik.I was so heartbroken facing the truth, that it was my mother who didn't let me live a happy life with my foster parents.
If she hadn't stopped me from being adopted, then I would be living a happy life with my foster parents. I was so upset about the things she did. Tears streamed down my eyes.Suddenly, someone knocked on my door. I wiped my tears hastily, cleared my throat, and pretending to be okay, I opened the door.Aviv who was standing by the door, walked inside, pulling my wrist."Sit here and listen to this," he said, shoving me on the bed.
He then opened the envelope which I had given him inElla's POV"Don't tell me that there is no maid in Aviv's mansion. Wait, a second let me guess, Aviv probably must have given you the post of Maid. Am I right?" Becca mocked, with a sinister smile on her face."Becca, Manners!" Mrs Royal steeped ahead, glaring at her.Rolling her eyes, Becca muttered, "Just kidding mom.""Still you owe an apology to her," she argued."No, it's alright, Mrs.Royal," I mumbled."See, she don't want me to an apology." Becca shrugged."I apologise heartily from her side, my dear. My daughter inhabited in abroad for long. Presumably, she has failed to keep traces on some of her manners," Mrs.Royal said, glancing at me.Her calm nature made me doubt that she might not be the person who wrote that letter. When she quoted "My daughter" I felt a sharp needle piercing my heart."Mom, you don't need to be that polite to an orphan," Becca retorted, in disappointment. When Becca cal
Aviv's POVWhen Becca and Mrs. Royal left the house, Ella ran towards me and hugged me tightly.“Can you believe it Av? I just hugged my mom. Wow! I really cannot describe how ecstatic I am.” Draping my hands around her waist, I spun around. She shouted out of happiness. I have never seen her that happy ever before. I wished if I could keep her happy, her whole life. When Erik cleared his throat, I hurriedly put down Ella. We passed a glance at each other for a while, suddenly we burst into laughter.“Seriously, Av credit must be given to you. I know without you, it was not possible,” she mumbled.I bowed a little and said, “Thank you, but I must say, I was suffocating staying with Becca. You won't believe what she w
Aviv's POV"Av, why am I having a bad feeling? Are you also thinking the same thing?" questioned Ella. Before I could speak out, Erik raised a question, "Sister, do you remember the exact date he used to visit the orphanage?""Um... he used to visit every last day of the month," replied Ella.
Ella's POVAs I was about to go to bed there was a knock on my door. When I opened the door, Aviv was standing at my door."Av..." I mumbled, trying to figure out why he was in my room."Can I come in?" he sounded low."Yeah, I nodded."We sat on my bed. Seeing him low, I placed my hand on his forehead, before asking, "Are you alright?""Yeah, I am fine," he replied."Why are you upset then?" I interrogated."I am worried about you. I want to go with you to the orphanage tomorrow," he replied, taking my hands."Don't worry I
Aviv's POV"No, I have said already, I am not going to sign the contract with them," sitting on the conference hall, I said to Becca who was convincing me for a long time to join up with Mr. Pask and Mr. Salk."I am telling you, Aviv you have to sign it. What is your problem with signing a contract with them? They were sworn enemy a while ago and today they are ruling the business together. Hand in hand. Can't you see it? Just think if we join hand with them, then we can bring a drastic change in the business world.""No matter what, they are never going to reach our level. And I have no interest in joining hands with them," I clarified." Come on, Aviv why are you doing this? I am here thinking about my business being best and you are creating obstacles. You tell me one thing do you have personal grudges with them
Ella's POVWhen Becca's hand landed on my cheeks before I could react, my parents and Aviv stepped towards me. They stood in front of me, like a shield for protection.Seeing them protecting me Becca's expression changed instantly. And for the first time, I felt sorry for her.Although she was harsh on me every time we met, I was feeling bad for taking her place. I tried to put myself in her shoes and thought about what I might have done if those things happened with me.Probably, I would have done the same thing, which she did to me. Not only me I think everyone would to that. Why wouldn't they? After all, who can tolerate seeing their parents being claimed by outsiders?Suddenly, dad slapped Becca hard and retorted, "Don't you dare touch my daughter, again. I will surely cut your hands."I stepped forward and stood beside Aviv.Becca's eyes were filled with tears and in a weak voice, she murmured, "Dad...""Don't you dare
Ella's POV"Becca wait..." I ran after her, calling out her name, but she didn't stop and kept on running. After going a little further finally she stopped and sat on a bench. I approached her and sat beside her. There was silence between us. She kept on sobbing. After minutes of finally, I spoke out."I am sorry. I didn't mean to..." "You want your parents or Aviv?" suddenly she raised a question.I was shocked by hearing her."What? What do you mean?" I implored."You need to make a choice, Ella. Don't fool around and answer me Parents or Aviv?" She sounded cold and serious.I stood on my feet and yelled, "Stop it, Becca. Stop saying that?""Make a choice Ella. You have to. I am definitely, not letting you keep both. You can take one.""You know wh
Aviv's POVUltimately, the time I had always waited for had arrived. Finally, Ella and her parents reunited. I was so worried that I had to do various things to make them believe that she was their child. Luckily, it was not that tough in comparison to I have thought. But my heart was not in ease as the time had finally arrived. Because it was time for her to go with her parents and I had to stay all alone without her. Staying away from her was way too tough for me.I was so habitual with her presence that the thought about not seeing her from the next morning was giving me chills
